The snares of death confronted me.

You laid an oppressive burden upon ^[a]us.
¹² You made men ^(B)ride over our heads;
We went through ^(C)fire and through water.
Yet You ^(D)brought us out into a place of abundance.

¹⁷ They have ^(A)surrounded me ^(B)like water all day long;
They have ^(C)encircled me altogether.

¹¹ They ^(A)surrounded me, yes, they surrounded me;
In the name of the Lord I will certainly fend them off.
¹² They surrounded me ^(B)like bees;
They were extinguished like a ^(C)fire of thorn bushes;
In the name of the Lord I will certainly fend them off.
¹³ You ^(D)pushed me violently so that I ^[a]was falling,
But the Lord ^(E)helped me.
