Psalm 18:36-42

New International Version

³⁶ You provide a broad path^(A) for my feet,
    so that my ankles do not give way.^(B)

³⁷ I pursued my enemies^(C) and overtook them;
    I did not turn back till they were destroyed.
³⁸ I crushed them^(D) so that they could not rise;^(E)
    they fell beneath my feet.^(F)
39 You armed me with strength^(G) for battle;
    you humbled my adversaries^(H) before me.
⁴⁰ You made my enemies turn their backs^(I) in flight,
    and I destroyed^(J) my foes.
⁴¹ They cried for help, but there was no one to save them^(K)—
    to the Lord, but he did not answer.^(L)
42 I beat them as fine as windblown dust;^(M)
    I trampled them^[a] like mud in the streets.
