Psalm 16
King James Version
16 Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust.
2 O my soul, thou hast said unto the Lord, Thou art my Lord: my goodness extendeth not to thee;
3 But to the saints that are in the earth, and to the excellent, in whom is all my delight.
4 Their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another god: their drink offerings of blood will I not offer, nor take up their names into my lips.
5 The Lord is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot.
6 The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage.
7 I will bless the Lord, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons.
8 I have set the Lord always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.
9 Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope.
10 For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

1 Ðức Chúa Trời ôi, xin che chở con,
Vì con nương náu nơi Ngài.
2 Con xin thưa với Chúa rằng, “Ngài là Chúa của con;
Ngoài Ngài ra con chẳng có phước hạnh nào.”
3 Về các vị thánh đồ trên đất, họ là những bậc cao trọng;
Nghĩ đến họ, lòng con dâng lên niềm sảng khoái sâu xa.
4 Còn những kẻ vội chạy theo các thần khác, chắc chắn nỗi buồn thảm của chúng sẽ gia tăng;
Con sẽ không dâng lễ quán bằng máu cho các thần ấy;
Thậm chí ngay cả danh chúng, con sẽ không nhắc đến trên môi con.
5 Chúa là phần cơ nghiệp của con và phần trong chén con;
Ngài sẽ bảo vệ phần của con.
6 Lằn ranh phân chia đã đặt đúng vào những nơi con thích;
Phải, con có được một cơ nghiệp thật tốt đẹp.
7 Tôi sẽ chúc tụng Chúa, Ðấng chỉ bảo tôi;
Ðêm đêm lòng tôi nhắc nhở tôi.
8 Tôi hằng để Chúa trước mặt tôi;
Vì Ngài ở bên phải tôi, nên tôi chẳng bị rúng động.
9 Do đó lòng tôi vui vẻ, tinh thần tôi phấn khởi,
Và thân xác tôi sẽ nghỉ ngơi trong an lạc.
10 Vì Ngài sẽ chẳng bỏ linh hồn con luôn trong âm phủ,
Hoặc để cho Người Thánh của Ngài thấy sự rữa nát.
11 Ngài sẽ chỉ cho con con đường sự sống;
Trước thánh nhan Ngài thật tràn đầy vui vẻ;
Ở bên phải Ngài ôi hạnh phúc vô cùng.

You Will Not Abandon My Soul

16 Preserve me, O God, for in you I (B)take refuge.
2 I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord;
(C)I have no good apart from you.”
4 The sorrows of those who run after[c] another god shall multiply;
their drink offerings of blood I will not pour out
or (E)take their names on my lips.
5 The Lord is (F)my chosen portion and my (G)cup;
you hold my (H)lot.
6 (I)The lines have fallen for me in pleasant places;
indeed, I have a beautiful inheritance.
7 I bless the Lord who (J)gives me counsel;
in (K)the night also my (L)heart instructs me.[d]
8 (M)I have (N)set the Lord always before me;
because he is at my (O)right hand, I shall not be (P)shaken.
9 Therefore my heart is glad, and my (Q)whole being[e] rejoices;
my flesh also dwells secure.
10 For you will not abandon my soul to (R)Sheol,
