Psalm 146:2-9

New International Version

² I will praise the Lord all my life;^(A)
    I will sing praise^(B) to my God as long as I live.^(C)
3 Do not put your trust in princes,^(D)
    in human beings,^(E) who cannot save.
⁴ When their spirit departs, they return to the ground;^(F)
    on that very day their plans come to nothing.^(G)
5 Blessed are those^(H) whose help^(I) is the God of Jacob,
    whose hope is in the Lord their God.

⁶ He is the Maker of heaven^(J) and earth,
    the sea, and everything in them—
    he remains faithful^(K) forever.
⁷ He upholds^(L) the cause of the oppressed^(M)
    and gives food to the hungry.^(N)
The Lord sets prisoners free,^(O)
8     the Lord gives sight^(P) to the blind,^(Q)
the Lord lifts up those who are bowed down,^(R)
    the Lord loves the righteous.^(S)
9 The Lord watches over the foreigner^(T)
    and sustains the fatherless^(U) and the widow,^(V)
    but he frustrates the ways of the wicked.
