Der Herr ist Schöpfer und König[a]
145 Ein Loblied von David.
Ich will dich preisen, mein Gott, o König,
und deinen Namen immer und ewig rühmen.
2 Tag für Tag will ich dich preisen
und deinen Namen loben für alle Zeiten.
3 Groß ist der
seine Erhabenheit ist unergründlich.
4 Eine Generation rühmt bei der nächsten deine Werke,
sie ´alle` verkünden deine machtvollen Taten.
5 Von der herrlichen Pracht deiner Majestät will ich sprechen,
und über deine Wunder will ich nachsinnen.[b]
6 Alle sollen von deinen gewaltigen, ehrfurchtgebietenden Taten reden,
und ich will erzählen, welch großer Gott du bist[c]!
7 Mit überschwänglichen Worten erinnern die Menschen an deine große Güte,
jubelnd preisen sie deine Treue[d].
8 Gnädig und barmherzig ist der
er gerät nicht schnell in Zorn, sondern ist reich an Gnade.
9 Der
und sein Erbarmen gilt jedem seiner Geschöpfe.

und die Menschen, die dir treu sind, preisen dich.
11 Sie verkünden, wie majestätisch deine Königsherrschaft ist,
und geben Zeugnis von deiner Macht.
12 Sie wollen den Menschen Gottes[e] gewaltige Taten bekannt machen
und auch die Pracht und Herrlichkeit seines Königreiches.
13 Dein Königreich ist ein ewiges Reich,
deine Herrschaft besteht jetzt und in allen künftigen Generationen.[f]
14 Der
und alle Gebeugten richtet er wieder auf.
15 Erwartungsvoll blicken die Augen aller Lebewesen auf dich,
und du gibst ihnen ihre Speise zur rechten Zeit.
16 Du öffnest ´freigebig` deine Hand
und sättigst alles, was lebt, mit deinen guten Gaben[g].
17 Der
und gütig in all seinen Taten.
18 Nahe ist der
allen, die ihn aufrichtig anrufen.
19 Er erfüllt das Sehnen und Wünschen derer, die Ehrfurcht vor ihm haben;
er hört, wenn sie um Hilfe schreien, und rettet sie.
20 Der
aber die ihn missachten, vernichtet er.
21 Aus meinem Mund soll das Lob des
alle Menschen sollen[h] seinen heiligen Namen immer und ewig preisen.

Ich will dich erheben, mein Gott, du König,
und deinen Namen loben immer und ewiglich!
2 Täglich will ich dich preisen
und deinen Namen rühmen immer und ewiglich!
3 Groß ist der Herr und hoch zu loben,
ja, seine Größe ist unerforschlich.
4 Ein Geschlecht rühme dem andern
deine Werke
und verkündige deine mächtigen Taten!
5 Von dem herrlichen Glanz deiner Majestät will ich sprechen
und von deinen Wundertaten.
6 Von der Macht deines furchterregenden Waltens soll man reden,
und deine Größe will ich verkünden.
7 Das Lob deiner großen Güte soll man reichlich fließen lassen,
und deine Gerechtigkeit soll man jubelnd rühmen!
8 Gnädig und barmherzig ist der Herr,
geduldig und von großer Güte.
9 Der Herr ist gütig gegen alle,
und seine Barmherzigkeit waltet über allen seinen Werken.
10 Alle deine Werke werden dich loben, o Herr,
und deine Getreuen[b] dich
preisen.
11 Von der Herrlichkeit deines Reiches[c] werden sie reden
und von deiner Macht sprechen,
12 dass sie den Menschenkindern seine mächtigen Taten verkünden
und die prachtvolle Herrlichkeit seines Reiches.
13 Dein Reich ist ein Reich für alle Ewigkeiten,
und deine Herrschaft währt durch alle Geschlechter.
14 Der Herr stützt alle Strauchelnden,
und richtet alle auf, die gebeugt sind.
15 Aller Augen warten auf dich,
und du gibst ihnen ihre Speise zur rechten Zeit.
16 Du tust deine Hand auf
und sättigst alles, was lebt, mit Wohlgefallen.
17 Der Herr ist gerecht in allen seinen Wegen
und gnädig in allen seinen Werken.
18 Der Herr ist nahe allen, die ihn anrufen,
allen, die ihn in Wahrheit anrufen;
19 er erfüllt das Begehren derer, die ihn fürchten;
er hört ihr Schreien und rettet sie.
20 Der Herr behütet alle, die ihn lieben,
und er wird alle Gottlosen vertilgen.
21 Mein Mund soll den Ruhm des Herrn verkünden,

1 I will exalt you,(A) my God the King;(B)
I will praise your name(C) for ever and ever.
2 Every day I will praise(D) you
and extol your name(E) for ever and ever.
3 Great(F) is the Lord and most worthy of praise;(G)
his greatness no one can fathom.(H)
4 One generation(I) commends your works to another;
they tell(J) of your mighty acts.(K)
5 They speak of the glorious splendor(L) of your majesty—
and I will meditate on your wonderful works.[b](M)
6 They tell(N) of the power of your awesome works—(O)
and I will proclaim(P) your great deeds.(Q)
7 They celebrate your abundant goodness(R)
and joyfully sing(S) of your righteousness.(T)
9 The Lord is good(W) to all;
he has compassion(X) on all he has made.
10 All your works praise you,(Y) Lord;

3 Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable.
4 One generation shall praise thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts.
5 I will speak of the glorious honour of thy majesty, and of thy wondrous works.
6 And men shall speak of the might of thy terrible acts: and I will declare thy greatness.
7 They shall abundantly utter the memory of thy great goodness, and shall sing of thy righteousness.
8 The Lord is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy.
9 The Lord is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works.
10 All thy works shall praise thee, O Lord; and thy saints shall bless thee.
11 They shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom, and talk of thy power;
12 To make known to the sons of men his mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of his kingdom.
13 Thy kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and thy dominion endureth throughout all generations.
14 The Lord upholdeth all that fall, and raiseth up all those that be bowed down.
15 The eyes of all wait upon thee; and thou givest them their meat in due season.
16 Thou openest thine hand, and satisfiest the desire of every living thing.
17 The Lord is righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works.
18 The Lord is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth.
19 He will fulfil the desire of them that fear him: he also will hear their cry, and will save them.
20 The Lord preserveth all them that love him: but all the wicked will he destroy.
