Reach down your hand from on high;(A)
    deliver me and rescue me(B)
from the mighty waters,(C)
    from the hands of foreigners(D)
whose mouths are full of lies,(E)
    whose right hands(F) are deceitful.(G)

I will sing a new song(H) to you, my God;
    on the ten-stringed lyre(I) I will make music to you,
10 to the One who gives victory to kings,(J)
    who delivers his servant David.(K)

From the deadly sword(L) 11 deliver me;
    rescue me(M) from the hands of foreigners(N)
whose mouths are full of lies,(O)
    whose right hands are deceitful.(P)

12 Then our sons in their youth
    will be like well-nurtured plants,(Q)
and our daughters will be like pillars(R)
    carved to adorn a palace.
13 Our barns will be filled(S)
    with every kind of provision.
Our sheep will increase by thousands,
    by tens of thousands in our fields;
14     our oxen(T) will draw heavy loads.[a]
There will be no breaching of walls,(U)
    no going into captivity,
    no cry of distress in our streets.(V)
15 Blessed is the people(W) of whom this is true;
    blessed is the people whose God is the Lord.
