Psalm 140:9-13

⁹ “As for the head of those who surround me,
May the ^(A)harm of their lips cover them.
¹⁰ May ^(B)burning coals fall upon them;
May they be ^(C)cast into the fire,
Into bottomless pits from which they ^(D)cannot rise.
¹¹ May a ^[a]slanderer not endure on the earth;
^(E)May evil hunt a violent person ^[b]violently.”

¹² I know that the Lord will ^(F)maintain the cause of the afflicted,
And ^(G)justice for the poor.
¹³ Certainly the ^(H)righteous will give thanks to Your name;
The ^(I)upright will dwell in Your presence.
