New King James Version

Folly of the Godless, and God’s Final Triumph(A)

To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David.

14 The (B)fool has said in his heart,
“There is no God.”
They are corrupt,
They have done abominable works,
There is none who does good.

2 (C)The Lord looks down from heaven upon the children of men,
To see if there are any who understand, who seek God.
3 (D)They have all turned aside,
They have together become corrupt;
There is none who does good,
No, not one.

4 Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge,
Who eat up my people as they eat bread,
And (E)do not call on the Lord?
5 There they are in great fear,
For God is with the generation of the righteous.
6 You shame the counsel of the poor,
But the Lord is his (F)refuge.

7 (G)Oh,[a] that the salvation of Israel would come out of Zion!
(H)When the Lord brings back [b]the captivity of His people,
Let Jacob rejoice and Israel be glad.

14 Kẻ ngu dại nói trong lòng rằng:
    Không có Đức Chúa Trời.
Chúng nó đều thối nát, làm những điều ghê tởm.
    Không có ai làm điều thiện.
2 CHÚA từ trên trời
    Nhìn xuống loài người.
Để xem thử có ai khôn ngoan,
    Có ai tìm kiếm Đức Chúa Trời chăng?
3 Tất cả đều lầm lạc;
    Chúng nó cùng nhau đều bại hoại.
Không có ai làm điều thiện,
    Dù một người cũng không.
4 Phải chăng tất cả kẻ làm ác đều thiếu hiểu biết?
    Chúng ăn nuốt dân ta như ăn bánh,
    Cũng chẳng cầu khẩn CHÚA.
5 Kìa, chúng sẽ bị kinh hoàng.
    Vì Đức Chúa Trời ở cùng hội người công chính.
6 Các người làm hỏng kế hoạch của kẻ khốn cùng.
    Nhưng CHÚA là nơi họ trú ẩn.
7 Ôi, ước gì sự giải cứu Y-sơ-ra-ên từ Si-ôn đã đến.
    Khi CHÚA đem phu tù của dân Ngài trở về.
    Thì Gia-cốp sẽ hân hoan, Y-sơ-ra-ên sẽ mừng rỡ.

Psalm 14(A)

For the director of music. Of David.

1 The fool[a] says in his heart,
    “There is no God.”(B)
They are corrupt, their deeds are vile;
    there is no one who does good.

2 The Lord looks down from heaven(C)
    on all mankind
to see if there are any who understand,(D)
    any who seek God.(E)
3 All have turned away,(F) all have become corrupt;(G)
    there is no one who does good,(H)
    not even one.(I)

4 Do all these evildoers know nothing?(J)

They devour my people(K) as though eating bread;
    they never call on the Lord.(L)
5 But there they are, overwhelmed with dread,
    for God is present in the company of the righteous.
6 You evildoers frustrate the plans of the poor,
    but the Lord is their refuge.(M)

7 Oh, that salvation for Israel would come out of Zion!(N)
    When the Lord restores(O) his people,
    let Jacob rejoice and Israel be glad!
