14 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.
2 The Lord looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.
3 They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
4 Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread, and call not upon the Lord.
5 There were they in great fear: for God is in the generation of the righteous.
6 Ye have shamed the counsel of the poor, because the Lord is his refuge.
7 Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! when the Lord bringeth back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.

Dåren säger i sitt hjärta:
"Det finns ingen Gud."
Onda och vidriga
är deras gärningar,
ingen finns som gör det goda.
2 (B) Herren blickar ner från himlen
över människors barn
för att se om det finns
någon som förstår,
någon som söker Gud.
3 (C) Men alla har avfallit,
alla är fördärvade.
Ingen finns som gör det goda,
inte en enda.
4 (D) Förstår de ingenting,
alla dessa förbrytare
som äter mitt folk som bröd
och inte åkallar Herren?
5 (E) Där grips de av skräck,
för Gud är med
de rättfärdigas släkte.
6 (F) Ni hånar den svages råd[b],
men[c] Herren är hans tillflykt.
7 (G) O att det från Sion
kom[d] frälsning för Israel!
När Herren gör slut
på sitt folks fångenskap,
då ska Jakob jubla
och Israel glädjas.

1 The fool[a] says in his heart,
“There is no God.”(B)
They are corrupt, their deeds are vile;
there is no one who does good.
2 The Lord looks down from heaven(C)
on all mankind
to see if there are any who understand,(D)
any who seek God.(E)
3 All have turned away,(F) all have become corrupt;(G)
there is no one who does good,(H)
not even one.(I)
4 Do all these evildoers know nothing?(J)

To the choirmaster. Of David.
14 (A)The (B)fool says in his heart, (C)“There is no God.”
They are (D)corrupt, they do abominable deeds;
(E)there is none who does good.
2 The Lord (F)looks down from heaven on the children of man,
to see if there are any who understand,[a]
who (G)seek after God.
3 They have all turned aside; together they have become (H)corrupt;
there is none who does good,
not even one.
4 Have they no (I)knowledge, all the evildoers
who (J)eat up my people as they eat bread
and (K)do not call upon the Lord?
5 There they are in great terror,
for God is with (L)the generation of the righteous.
6 You would shame the plans of the poor,
but[b] the Lord is his (M)refuge.
7 Oh, that salvation for Israel would come out of Zion!
When the Lord (N)restores the fortunes of his people,
let Jacob rejoice, let Israel be glad.
