Estoy tranquilo y confío en Dios

SALMO 131 (130)

Cántico de David para las peregrinaciones.

131 Dios mío,
yo no me creo más que nadie,
ni miro a nadie con desprecio;
no hago alardes de grandeza,
ni pretendo hacer grandes maravillas,
pues no podría llevarlas a cabo.
Más bien, me he calmado;
me he tranquilizado
como se tranquiliza un niño
cuando su madre le da el pecho.
¡Estoy tranquilo como un niño
después de haber tomado el pecho!

Israel,
¡pon tu esperanza en Dios
ahora y siempre!

Psalm 131

A song of ascents. Of David.

My heart is not proud,(A) Lord,
    my eyes are not haughty;(B)
I do not concern myself with great matters(C)
    or things too wonderful for me.(D)
But I have calmed and quieted myself,(E)
    I am like a weaned child with its mother;
    like a weaned child I am content.(F)

Israel, put your hope(G) in the Lord
    both now and forevermore.(H)

131 Lord, my heart is not haughty, nor mine eyes lofty: neither do I exercise myself in great matters, or in things too high for me.

Surely I have behaved and quieted myself, as a child that is weaned of his mother: my soul is even as a weaned child.

Let Israel hope in the Lord from henceforth and for ever.
