Psalm 130
A song of ascents.
1 Out of the depths(A) I cry to you,(B) Lord;
2 Lord, hear my voice.(C)
Let your ears be attentive(D)
to my cry for mercy.(E)
3 If you, Lord, kept a record of sins,
Lord, who could stand?(F)
4 But with you there is forgiveness,(G)
so that we can, with reverence, serve you.(H)

to (D)the voice of my pleas for mercy!
3 If you, O Lord, should (E)mark iniquities,
O Lord, who could (F)stand?
4 But with you there is (G)forgiveness,
(H)that you may be feared.

3 If You, [a]Lord, were to keep account of guilty deeds,
Lord, who could (E)stand?
4 But there is (F)forgiveness with You,
So that You may be [b](G)revered.
5 I wait for the Lord, my (H)soul waits,
And I [c]wait (I)for His word.
6 My soul waits in hope for the Lord
More than the watchmen (J)for the morning;
Yes, more than the watchmen for the morning.
7 Israel, (K)wait for the Lord;
For with the Lord there is (L)mercy,
And with Him is (M)abundant redemption.
8 And He will (N)redeem Israel
From all his guilty deeds.

O Signore, io grido a te
da luoghi profondi!
2 Signore, ascolta il mio grido;
siano le tue orecchie attente al mio
grido d'aiuto!
3 Se tieni conto delle colpe, Signore,
chi potrà resistere?
4 Ma presso di te è il perdono,
perché tu sia temuto.
5 Io aspetto il Signore, l'anima mia lo aspetta;
io spero nella sua parola.
6 L'anima mia anela al Signore
piú che le guardie non anelino
al mattino,
piú che le guardie al mattino.
7 O *Israele, spera nel Signore,
poiché presso il Signore è la
misericordia
e la redenzione abbonda presso di lui.
8 Egli redimerà Israele
da tutte le sue colpe[a].
