⁴ “Blessed shall be ^(A)the ^[a]fruit of your body, the produce of your ground and the increase of your herds, the increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flocks.

^27 (A)For this child I prayed, and the Lord has granted me my petition which I asked of Him.

⁵ And he lifted his eyes and saw the women and children, and said, “Who are these with you?”

So he said, “The children ^(A)whom God has graciously given your servant.”

⁴ and said to me, ‘Behold, I will ^(A)make you fruitful and multiply you, and I will make of you a multitude of people, and ^(B)give this land to your descendants after you ^(C)as an everlasting possession.’

²⁸ Then God blessed them, and God said to them, ^(A)“Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and ^(B)subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that ^[a]moves on the earth.”

^3 (A)Then I took your father Abraham from the other side of ^[a]the River, led him throughout all the land of Canaan, and multiplied his ^[b]descendants and ^(B)gave him Isaac. ⁴ To Isaac I gave ^(C)Jacob and Esau. To ^(D)Esau I gave the mountains of Seir to possess, ^(E)but Jacob and his children went down to Egypt.
