Psalm 125
A song of ascents.
1 Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion,(A)
which cannot be shaken(B) but endures forever.
2 As the mountains surround Jerusalem,(C)
so the Lord surrounds(D) his people
both now and forevermore.
3 The scepter(E) of the wicked will not remain(F)
over the land allotted to the righteous,
for then the righteous might use
their hands to do evil.(G)
4 Lord, do good(H) to those who are good,
to those who are upright in heart.(I)
5 But those who turn(J) to crooked ways(K)
the Lord will banish(L) with the evildoers.

Dios protege a su pueblo
Cántico gradual.
125 Los que confían en el Señor
son semejantes al monte Sión,
que jamás se mueve,
que siempre está en su lugar.
2 Son también semejantes a Jerusalén
que está rodeada de montes:
¡la protección del Señor rodea a su pueblo
desde ahora y para siempre!
3 Jamás se impondrá el cetro de los impíos
sobre el país de los justos,
para que los justos no caigan en la maldad.
4 Señor, bendice a los que hacen el bien,
a los que son de recto corazón.
5 Pero castiga, Señor, a los que se apartan de ti;
¡recházalos junto con los malhechores!
¡Que haya paz en Israel!
