Dios protege a su pueblo

SALMO 125 (124)

Cántico para las peregrinaciones.

125 Los que confían en Dios
son como el monte Sión,
que nadie puede moverlo.
¡Permanecerán para siempre!

Las montañas protegen a Jerusalén,
y Dios protege a Israel
ahora y siempre.

Psalm 125

A song of ascents.

Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion,(A)
which cannot be shaken(B) but endures forever.
As the mountains surround Jerusalem,(C)
so the Lord surrounds(D) his people
    both now and forevermore.

The scepter(E) of the wicked will not remain(F)
over the land allotted to the righteous,
for then the righteous might use
    their hands to do evil.(G)

Lord, do good(H) to those who are good,
to those who are upright in heart.(I)
But those who turn(J) to crooked ways(K)
the Lord will banish(L) with the evildoers.

Peace be on Israel.(M)

The Lord Surrounds His People.

A Song of [a]Ascents.

125 Those who trust in and rely on the Lord [with confident expectation]
Are like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved but remains forever.

As the mountains surround Jerusalem,
So the Lord surrounds His people
From this time forth and forever.

For the scepter of wickedness shall not rest on the land of the righteous,
So that the righteous will not reach out their hands to do wrong.

Do good, O Lord, to those who are good
And to those who are upright in their hearts.

But as for those who turn aside to their crooked ways [in unresponsiveness to God],
The Lord will lead them away with those who do evil.
Peace be upon Israel.
