Salmos 124
Traducción en lenguaje actual
Dios siempre nos ayuda
SALMO 124 (123)
Cántico de David para las peregrinaciones.
124 Si Dios no nos hubiera ayudado,
¿qué habría sido de nosotros?
¡Todos en Israel lo sabemos!
2 Si Dios no nos hubiera ayudado
cuando nos atacaba todo el mundo,
3 nos habrían matado a todos,
pues nuestros enemigos
estaban muy enojados con nosotros.
4 Habrían acabado con nosotros
como aguas desbordadas
que arrasan con todo a su paso,
5 como aguas turbulentas
que todo lo destruyen.
6 ¡Alabemos a Dios,
que no dejó que esos malvados
nos despedazaran con sus dientes!
7 ¡La trampa está hecha pedazos!
¡Hemos logrado escapar,
como los pájaros!
8 ¡El creador de cielo y tierra
nos ayudó a escapar!
Psalm 124
New King James Version
The Lord the Defense of His People
A Song of Ascents. Of David.
124 “If it had not been the Lord who was on our (A)side,”
(B)Let Israel now say—
2 “If it had not been the Lord who was on our side,
When men rose up against us,
3 Then they would have (C)swallowed us alive,
When their wrath was kindled against us;
4 Then the waters would have overwhelmed us,
The stream would have [a]gone over our soul;
5 Then the swollen waters
Would have [b]gone over our soul.”
6 Blessed be the Lord,
Who has not given us as prey to their teeth.
7 (D)Our soul has escaped (E)as a bird from the snare of the [c]fowlers;
The snare is broken, and we have escaped.
8 (F)Our help is in the name of the Lord,
(G)Who made heaven and earth.

124 (B)If it had not been the Lord who was on our side—
(C)let Israel now say—
2 if it had not been the Lord who was on our side
when people rose up against us,
3 then they would have (D)swallowed us up alive,
when their anger was kindled against us;
4 then (E)the flood would have (F)swept us away,
the torrent would have gone (G)over us;
5 then over us would have gone
the raging waters.
6 Blessed be the Lord,
who has not given us
as prey to their teeth!
7 We have escaped like a bird
from (H)the snare of the fowlers;
the snare is broken,
