Psalm 123
Complete Jewish Bible
123 (0) A song of ascents:
(1) I raise my eyes to you,
whose throne is in heaven.
2 As a servant looks to the hand of his master,
or a slave-girl to the hand of her mistress,
so our eyes turn to Adonai our God,
until he has mercy on us.
3 Have mercy on us, Adonai, have mercy;
for we have had our fill of contempt,
4 more than our fill of scorn from the complacent
and contempt from the arrogant.
Psaltaren 123
Svenska Folkbibeln 2015
Med blicken på Guds nåd
123 En pilgrimssång.
Jag lyfter mina ögon till dig,
du som tronar i himlen.
2 Som tjänarnas ögon
ser till sin herres hand,
som tjänarinnans ögon
ser till sin husfrus hand,
så ser våra ögon
till Herren vår Gud
till dess han förbarmar sig
över oss.
3 [a]Förbarma dig, Herre,
förbarma dig över oss,
för vi har fått nog av allt förakt.
4 [b]Vår själ har fått nog
av de säkras hån
och de stoltas förakt.

Psalm 123
New International Version
Psalm 123
A song of ascents.
1 I lift up my eyes to you,
to you who sit enthroned(A) in heaven.
2 As the eyes of slaves look to the hand of their master,
as the eyes of a female slave look to the hand of her mistress,
so our eyes look to the Lord(B) our God,
till he shows us his mercy.
3 Have mercy on us, Lord, have mercy on us,
for we have endured no end of contempt.
4 We have endured no end
of ridicule from the arrogant,
of contempt from the proud.
