Psalm 122
The Message
122 1-2 When they said, “Let’s go to the house of God,”
my heart leaped for joy.
And now we’re here, O Jerusalem,
inside Jerusalem’s walls!
3-5 Jerusalem, well-built city,
built as a place for worship!
The city to which the tribes ascend,
all God’s tribes go up to worship,
To give thanks to the name of God—
this is what it means to be Israel.
Thrones for righteous judgment
are set there, famous David-thrones.
6-9 Pray for Jerusalem’s peace!
Prosperity to all you Jerusalem-lovers!
Friendly insiders, get along!
Hostile outsiders, keep your distance!
For the sake of my family and friends,
I say it again: live in peace!
For the sake of the house of our God, God,
I’ll do my very best for you.

New King James Version
The Joy of Going to the House of the Lord
A Song of Ascents. Of David.
122 I was glad when they said to me,
(A)“Let us go into the house of the Lord.”
2 Our feet have been standing
Within your gates, O Jerusalem!
3 Jerusalem is built
As a city that is (B)compact together,
4 (C)Where the tribes go up,
The tribes of the Lord,
[a]To (D)the Testimony of Israel,
To give thanks to the name of the Lord.
5 (E)For thrones are set there for judgment,
The thrones of the house of David.
6 (F)Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:
“May they prosper who love you.
7 Peace be within your walls,
Prosperity within your palaces.”
8 For the sake of my brethren and companions,
I will now say, “Peace be within you.”
9 Because of the house of the Lord our God
I will (G)seek your good.

Tayo'y magsiparoon (A)sa bahay ng Panginoon.
2 Ang mga paa natin ay nagsisitayo
Sa loob ng iyong mga pintuang-bayan, Oh Jerusalem;
3 Jerusalem, na natayo
Na parang bayang (B)siksikan:
4 (C)Na inaahon ng mga lipi, sa makatuwid baga'y ng mga lipi ng Panginoon,
(D)Na pinaka patotoo sa Israel,
Upang magpasalamat sa pangalan ng Panginoon.
5 (E)Sapagka't doo'y nalagay ang mga luklukan na ukol sa kahatulan,
Ang mga luklukan ng sangbahayan ni David.
6 (F)Idalangin ninyo ang kapayapaan ng Jerusalem:
Sila'y magsisiginhawa na nagsisiibig sa iyo.
7 Kapayapaan nawa ang sumaloob ng inyong mga kuta,
At kaginhawahan sa loob ng iyong mga palasio.
8 Dahil sa aking mga kapatid at aking mga kasama,
Aking sasabihin ngayon,
(G)Kapayapaan ang sumaiyong loob.
9 Dahil sa bahay ng Panginoon nating Dios.
(H)Hahanapin ko ang iyong buti.
