Let Us Go to the House of the Lord
A Song of (A)Ascents. Of David.
122 I was glad when they said to me,
(B)“Let us go to the house of the Lord!”
2 Our feet have been standing
within your gates, O Jerusalem!
3 Jerusalem—(C)built as a city
that is (D)bound firmly together,
4 to which the tribes (E)go up,
the tribes of the Lord,
as was (F)decreed for[a] Israel,
to give thanks to the name of the Lord.
5 There (G)thrones for judgment were set,
the thrones of the house of David.
6 (H)Pray for the peace of Jerusalem!
“May they be secure who love you!
7 Peace be within your (I)walls
and security within your (J)towers!”
8 For my brothers and companions' sake
I will say, (K)“Peace be within you!”
9 For the sake of the house of the Lord our God,
I will (L)seek your good.

1 Mă bucur când mi se spune:

3 Ierusalimul este zidit ca o cetate
ce-şi adună poporul în unitate[a].
4 Acolo vin seminţiile,
seminţiile Domnului,
ca să laude Numele Domnului,
aşa cum s-a hotărât pentru Israel,
5 căci acolo sunt aşezate tronurile de judecată,
tronurile Casei lui David.
6 Rugaţi-vă pentru pacea Ierusalimului!
„Fie ca cei ce te iubesc să prospere[b]!
7 Pacea să fie între zidurile tale
şi liniştea – în palatele tale.“
8 Din pricina fraţilor mei şi a prietenilor mei,
îţi urez: „Pacea fie în tine!“
9 Din pricina Casei Domnului, Dumnezeul nostru,
îţi doresc: „Bine să-ţi fie!“

122 I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the Lord.
2 Our feet shall stand within thy gates, O Jerusalem.
3 Jerusalem is builded as a city that is compact together:
4 Whither the tribes go up, the tribes of the Lord, unto the testimony of Israel, to give thanks unto the name of the Lord.
5 For there are set thrones of judgment, the thrones of the house of David.
6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.
7 Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces.
8 For my brethren and companions' sakes, I will now say, Peace be within thee.
9 Because of the house of the Lord our God I will seek thy good.
