⁵ The Lord watches over^(A) you—
    the Lord is your shade at your right hand;
⁶ the sun^(B) will not harm you by day,
    nor the moon by night.

⁷ The Lord will keep you from all harm^(C)—
    he will watch over your life;
⁸ the Lord will watch over your coming and going
    both now and forevermore.^(D)

⁷ You are my hiding place;^(A)
    you will protect me from trouble^(B)
    and surround me with songs of deliverance.^(C)

³     I, the Lord, watch over it;
    I water^(A) it continually.
I guard^(B) it day and night
    so that no one may harm^(C) it.
