Psalm 12:5-13:2

⁵ “Because the poor are plundered^(A) and the needy groan,^(B)
    I will now arise,^(C)” says the Lord.
    “I will protect them^(D) from those who malign them.”
⁶ And the words of the Lord are flawless,^(E)
    like silver purified^(F) in a crucible,^(G)
    like gold^[a] refined seven times.

⁷ You, Lord, will keep the needy safe^(H)
    and will protect us forever from the wicked,^(I)
8 who freely strut^(J) about
    when what is vile is honored by the human race.
