Psalm 119:34-40

New International Version

³⁴ Give me understanding,^(A) so that I may keep your law^(B)
    and obey it with all my heart.^(C)
35 Direct me^(D) in the path of your commands,^(E)
    for there I find delight.^(F)
36 Turn my heart^(G) toward your statutes
    and not toward selfish gain.^(H)
37 Turn my eyes away from worthless things;
    preserve my life^(I) according to your word.^[a](J)
38 Fulfill your promise^(K) to your servant,
    so that you may be feared.
³⁹ Take away the disgrace^(L) I dread,
    for your laws are good.
⁴⁰ How I long^(M) for your precepts!
    In your righteousness preserve my life.^(N)
