Psalm 119:33-72

He

³³^(A)Teach me, O Lord, the way of your statutes;
    and I will keep it ^(B)to the end.^[a]
³⁴^(C)Give me understanding, that I may keep your law
    and observe it with my whole heart.
³⁵^(D)Lead me in the path of your commandments,
    for I ^(E)delight in it.
³⁶^(F)Incline my heart to your testimonies,
    and not to ^(G)selfish gain!
³⁷^(H)Turn my eyes from looking at worthless things;
    and ^(I)give me life in your ways.
³⁸^(J)Confirm to your servant your promise,
    ^(K)that you may be feared.
³⁹Turn away the ^(L)reproach that I dread,
    for your rules are good.
⁴⁰Behold, I ^(M)long for your precepts;
    ^(N)in your righteousness give me life!

⁴¹Let your ^(O)steadfast love come to me, O Lord,
    your salvation ^(P)according to your promise;
⁴²then ^(Q)shall I have an answer for him ^(R)who taunts me,
    for I trust in your word.
⁴³And take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth,
    for my ^(S)hope is in your rules.
⁴⁴I will keep your law continually,
    forever and ever,
⁴⁵and I shall walk ^(T)in a wide place,
    for I have ^(U)sought your precepts.
⁴⁶I will also speak of your testimonies ^(V)before kings
    and shall not be put to shame,
⁴⁷for I ^(W)find my delight in your commandments,
    which I love.
⁴⁸I will ^(X)lift up my hands toward your commandments, which I love,
    and I will ^(Y)meditate on your statutes.

Zayin

⁴⁹Remember ^(Z)your word to your servant,
    in which you have made me ^(AA)hope.
⁵⁰This is ^(AB)my comfort in my affliction,
    that your promise ^(AC)gives me life.
⁵¹^(AD)The insolent utterly deride me,
    but I do not ^(AE)turn away from your law.
⁵²When I think of your rules from of old,
    I take comfort, O Lord.
⁵³^(AF)Hot indignation seizes me because of the wicked,
    who forsake your law.
⁵⁴Your statutes have been my songs
    in the house of my ^(AG)sojourning.
⁵⁵I ^(AH)remember your name in the night, O Lord,
    and keep your law.
⁵⁶This blessing has fallen to me,
    that ^(AI)I have kept your precepts.

⁵⁷^(AJ)The Lord is my portion;
    I promise to keep your words.
⁵⁸I ^(AK)entreat your favor with all my heart;
    be gracious to me ^(AL)according to your promise.
⁵⁹When I ^(AM)think on my ways,
    I turn my feet to your testimonies;
⁶⁰I hasten and do not delay
    to keep your commandments.
⁶¹Though ^(AN)the cords of the wicked ensnare me,
    I do not ^(AO)forget your law.
⁶²At ^(AP)midnight I rise to praise you,
    because of your ^(AQ)righteous rules.
⁶³^(AR)I am a companion of all who fear you,
    of those who keep your precepts.
⁶⁴^(AS)The earth, O Lord, is full of your steadfast love;
    ^(AT)teach me your statutes!

⁶⁵You have dealt well with your servant,
    O Lord, ^(AU)according to your word.
⁶⁶Teach me ^(AV)good judgment and knowledge,
    for I believe in your commandments.
⁶⁷^(AW)Before I was afflicted I went astray,
    but now I keep your word.
⁶⁸^(AX)You are good and do good;
    ^(AY)teach me your statutes.
⁶⁹^(AZ)The insolent ^(BA)smear me with lies,
    but with my whole heart I ^(BB)keep your precepts;
⁷⁰their heart is unfeeling ^(BC)like fat,
    but I ^(BD)delight in your law.
⁷¹It is ^(BE)good for me that I was afflicted,
    that I might learn your statutes.
⁷²^(BF)The law of your mouth is better to me
    than thousands of gold and silver pieces.
