Psalm 119:33-48

³³^(A)Teach me, O Lord, the way of your statutes;
    and I will keep it ^(B)to the end.^[a]
³⁴^(C)Give me understanding, that I may keep your law
    and observe it with my whole heart.
³⁵^(D)Lead me in the path of your commandments,
    for I ^(E)delight in it.
³⁶^(F)Incline my heart to your testimonies,
    and not to ^(G)selfish gain!
³⁷^(H)Turn my eyes from looking at worthless things;
    and ^(I)give me life in your ways.
³⁸^(J)Confirm to your servant your promise,
    ^(K)that you may be feared.
³⁹Turn away the ^(L)reproach that I dread,
    for your rules are good.
⁴⁰Behold, I ^(M)long for your precepts;
    ^(N)in your righteousness give me life!

⁴¹Let your ^(O)steadfast love come to me, O Lord,
    your salvation ^(P)according to your promise;
⁴²then ^(Q)shall I have an answer for him ^(R)who taunts me,
    for I trust in your word.
⁴³And take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth,
    for my ^(S)hope is in your rules.
⁴⁴I will keep your law continually,
    forever and ever,
⁴⁵and I shall walk ^(T)in a wide place,
    for I have ^(U)sought your precepts.
⁴⁶I will also speak of your testimonies ^(V)before kings
    and shall not be put to shame,
⁴⁷for I ^(W)find my delight in your commandments,
    which I love.
⁴⁸I will ^(X)lift up my hands toward your commandments, which I love,
    and I will ^(Y)meditate on your statutes.

³⁷Now when ^(D)they heard this they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Brothers, ^(E)what shall we do?” ³⁸And Peter said to them, ^(F)“Repent and ^(G)be baptized every one of you ^(H)in the name of Jesus Christ ^(I)for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive ^(J)the gift of the Holy Spirit. ³⁹For ^(K)the promise is for you and ^(L)for your children and for all ^(M)who are far off, everyone ^(N)whom the Lord our God calls to himself.” ⁴⁰And with many other words he bore witness and continued to exhort them, saying, ^(O)“Save yourselves from this ^(P)crooked generation.” ⁴¹So those who received his word were baptized, and ^(Q)there were added that day about three thousand souls.

The Fellowship of the Believers

⁴²And ^(R)they devoted themselves to the apostles' ^(S)teaching and the ^(T)fellowship, to ^(U)the breaking of bread and the prayers. ⁴³And awe^[a] came upon every soul, and ^(V)many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles. ⁴⁴And all who believed were together and ^(W)had all things in common. ⁴⁵And ^(X)they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need. ⁴⁶And day by day, ^(Y)attending the temple ^(Z)together and ^(AA)breaking bread in their homes, they received their food ^(AB)with glad and generous hearts, ⁴⁷praising God and ^(AC)having favor with all the people. And the Lord ^(AD)added to their number ^(AE)day by day those who ^(AF)were being saved.

If Your Brother Sins Against You

¹⁵^(A)“If your brother sins against you, ^(B)go and tell him his fault, between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have ^(C)gained your brother. ¹⁶But if he does not listen, take one or two others along with you, that every charge may be established ^(D)by the evidence of two or three witnesses. ¹⁷If he refuses to listen to them, ^(E)tell it to the church. And if he refuses to listen even to the church, ^(F)let him be to you as ^(G)a Gentile and ^(H)a tax collector. ¹⁸Truly, I say to you, ^(I)whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed^[a] in heaven. ¹⁹Again I say to you, if two of you ^(J)agree on earth about anything they ask, ^(K)it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. ²⁰For where two or three are ^(L)gathered in my name, ^(M)there am I among them.”
