Christian Standard Bible
ד Daleth
25 My life is down in the dust;(A)
give me life(B) through your word.
26 I told you about my life,
and you answered me;
teach me your statutes.(C)
27 Help me understand
the meaning of your precepts
so that I can meditate on your wonders.(D)
28 I am weary[a] from grief;
strengthen me through your word.(E)
29 Keep me from the way of deceit
and graciously give me your instruction.
30 I have chosen the way of truth;
I have set your ordinances before me.(F)
31 I cling to your decrees;
Lord, do not put me to shame.(G)
32 I pursue the way of your commands,
for you broaden my understanding.[b](H)
ה He
33 Teach me, Lord, the meaning[c] of your statutes,
and I will always keep them.[d](I)
34 Help me understand your instruction,(J)
and I will obey it
and follow it with all my heart.(K)
35 Help me stay on the path of your commands,(L)
for I take pleasure in it.(M)
36 Turn my heart to your decrees(N)
and not to dishonest profit.(O)
37 Turn my eyes
from looking at what is worthless;(P)
give me life in your ways.[e](Q)
38 Confirm what you said to your servant,(R)
for it produces reverence for you.
39 Turn away the disgrace I dread;(S)
indeed, your judgments are good.
40 How I long for your precepts!(T)
Give me life through your righteousness.
ו Waw
41 Let your faithful love come to me, Lord,(U)
your salvation, as you promised.(V)
42 Then I can answer the one who taunts me,(W)
for I trust in your word.
43 Never take the word of truth from my mouth,
for I hope in your judgments.(X)
44 I will always obey your instruction,
forever and ever.(Y)
45 I will walk freely in an open place(Z)
because I study your precepts.(AA)
46 I will speak of your decrees before kings
and not be ashamed.(AB)
47 I delight in your commands,
which I love.(AC)
48 I will lift up my hands(AD) to your commands,
which I love,
and will meditate on your statutes.(AE)
Hebrews 1:4-14
Christian Standard Bible
4 So he became superior to the angels, just as the name he inherited is more excellent than theirs.(A)
The Son Superior to Angels
5 For to which of the angels did he ever say,
or again,
6 Again, when he[d] brings his firstborn into the world,(C) he says,
7 And about the angels he says:
8 but to[i] the Son:
Your throne, God,
is forever and ever,
and the scepter of your kingdom
is a scepter of justice.(F)
9 You have loved righteousness
and hated lawlessness;
this is why God, your God,
has anointed you
with the oil of joy(G)
beyond your companions.[j][k]
10 And:
In the beginning, Lord,
you established the earth,
and the heavens are the works of your hands;(H)
11 they will perish, but you remain.
They will all wear out like clothing;(I)
12 you will roll them up like a cloak,[l]
and they will be changed like clothing.
But you are the same,
and your years will never end.[m](J)
13 Now to which of the angels has he ever said:
14 Are they not all ministering spirits sent out to serve those who are going to inherit salvation?(L)

Divisions at Corinth
10 Now I urge you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree in what you say, that there be no divisions among you, and that you be united with the same understanding and the same conviction. 11 For it has been reported to me about you, my brothers and sisters, by members of Chloe’s people, that there is rivalry(A) among you. 12 What I am saying is this: One of you says, “I belong to Paul,” or “I belong to Apollos,”(B) or “I belong to Cephas,”(C) or “I belong to Christ.”(D) 13 Is Christ divided?(E) Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized in Paul’s name? 14 I thank God[a][b] that I baptized none of you except Crispus(F) and Gaius,(G) 15 so that no one can say you were baptized in my name. 16 I did, in fact, baptize the household(H) of Stephanas;(I) beyond that, I don’t recall if I baptized anyone else. 17 For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel—not with eloquent wisdom, so that the cross(J) of Christ will not be emptied of its effect.
