Psalm 119:134-144

New International Version

¹³⁴ Redeem me from human oppression,^(A)
    that I may obey your precepts.^(B)
135 Make your face shine^(C) on your servant
    and teach me your decrees.^(D)
136 Streams of tears^(E) flow from my eyes,
    for your law is not obeyed.^(F)

¹³⁷ You are righteous,^(G) Lord,
    and your laws are right.^(H)
138 The statutes you have laid down are righteous;^(I)
    they are fully trustworthy.^(J)
139 My zeal wears me out,^(K)
    for my enemies ignore your words.
¹⁴⁰ Your promises^(L) have been thoroughly tested,^(M)
    and your servant loves them.^(N)
141 Though I am lowly and despised,^(O)
    I do not forget your precepts.^(P)
142 Your righteousness is everlasting
    and your law is true.^(Q)
143 Trouble and distress have come upon me,
    but your commands give me delight.^(R)
144 Your statutes are always righteous;
    give me understanding^(S) that I may live.
