Dios y los ídolos
115 No somos nosotros, Señor,
4 Los dioses de ellos son de oro y plata;
son producto de la mano del hombre.
5 Tienen boca, pero no hablan;
tienen ojos, pero no ven;
6 tienen orejas, pero no oyen;
tienen narices, pero no huelen;
7 tienen manos, pero no palpan;
tienen pies, pero no caminan;
9 Pueblo de Israel, confía en el Señor;
él es quien te ayuda y te protege.
10 Ustedes los sacerdotes, confíen en el Señor;
11 Ustedes, temerosos del Señor, confíen en él;
12 El Señor no nos olvida, y nos bendecirá;
bendecirá al pueblo de Israel;
bendecirá a los descendientes de Aarón;
13 bendecirá a los que le temen;
bendecirá a los débiles y a los poderosos.(B)
14 El Señor añadirá sus bendiciones
sobre ustedes y sobre sus hijos.
15 ¡Benditos sean ustedes por el Señor,
creador del cielo y de la tierra!
16 Los cielos son los cielos del Señor;
ya no pueden alabar al Señor;
18 pero nosotros, los que aún vivimos,
alabaremos al Señor ahora y siempre.
¡Aleluya!
Psalm 115
King James Version
115 Not unto us, O Lord, not unto us, but unto thy name give glory, for thy mercy, and for thy truth's sake.
2 Wherefore should the heathen say, Where is now their God?
3 But our God is in the heavens: he hath done whatsoever he hath pleased.
4 Their idols are silver and gold, the work of men's hands.
5 They have mouths, but they speak not: eyes have they, but they see not:
6 They have ears, but they hear not: noses have they, but they smell not:
7 They have hands, but they handle not: feet have they, but they walk not: neither speak they through their throat.
8 They that make them are like unto them; so is every one that trusteth in them.
9 O Israel, trust thou in the Lord: he is their help and their shield.
10 O house of Aaron, trust in the Lord: he is their help and their shield.
11 Ye that fear the Lord, trust in the Lord: he is their help and their shield.
12 The Lord hath been mindful of us: he will bless us; he will bless the house of Israel; he will bless the house of Aaron.
13 He will bless them that fear the Lord, both small and great.
14 The Lord shall increase you more and more, you and your children.
15 Ye are blessed of the Lord which made heaven and earth.
16 The heaven, even the heavens, are the Lord's: but the earth hath he given to the children of men.
17 The dead praise not the Lord, neither any that go down into silence.
18 But we will bless the Lord from this time forth and for evermore. Praise the Lord.

The Impotence of Idols and the Greatness of God
115 Not to us, O Lord, not to us,
but to thy name give glory,
    for the sake of thy steadfast love and thy faithfulness!
2 Why should the nations say,
    “Where is their God?”
3 Our God is in the heavens;
    he does whatever he pleases.
4 Their idols are silver and gold,
    the work of men’s hands.
5 They have mouths, but do not speak;
    eyes, but do not see.
6 They have ears, but do not hear;
    noses, but do not smell.
7 They have hands, but do not feel;
    feet, but do not walk;
    and they do not make a sound in their throat.
8 Those who make them are like them;
    so are all who trust in them.
9 O Israel, trust in the Lord!
    He is their help and their shield.
10 O house of Aaron, put your trust in the Lord!
    He is their help and their shield.
11 You who fear the Lord, trust in the Lord!
    He is their help and their shield.
12 The Lord has been mindful of us; he will bless us;
    he will bless the house of Israel;
    he will bless the house of Aaron;
13 he will bless those who fear the Lord,
    both small and great.
14 May the Lord give you increase,
    you and your children!
15 May you be blessed by the Lord,
    who made heaven and earth!
16 The heavens are the Lord’s heavens,
    but the earth he has given to the sons of men.
17 The dead do not praise the Lord,
    nor do any that go down into silence.
18 But we will bless the Lord
    from this time forth and for evermore.
Praise the Lord!
