Hoffnungslos im Elend?
113 Halleluja – lobt den Herrn!
Lobt den Herrn, ihr seine Diener,
lobt seinen herrlichen Namen!
2 Ja, der Name des Herrn werde gepriesen –
jetzt und in alle Ewigkeit!
3 Von dort, wo die Sonne aufgeht, bis dorthin, wo sie untergeht –
überall werde der Herr gelobt!
4 Er herrscht über alle Völker,
seine Hoheit und Macht überragt selbst den Himmel!
5-6 Einzigartig ist der Herr, unser Gott!
Niemand im Himmel und auf der Erde ist ihm gleich.
Sein Thron steht hoch über allen Thronen,
und doch sieht er hinab auf das, was in der Tiefe vor sich geht.
7 Dem Verachteten hilft er aus seiner Not.
Er zieht den Armen aus dem Schmutz
8 und stellt ihn denen gleich,
die in seinem Volk Rang und Namen haben.
9 Auch die kinderlose Frau befreit er von ihrer Schmach
und macht sie zu einer glücklichen Mutter.

1 Hallelujah!
Lobt, ihr Knechte des Herrn,
lobt den Namen des Herrn![a]
2 Gepriesen sei der Name des Herrn
Von nun an bis in Ewigkeit!
3 Vom Aufgang der Sonne bis zu ihrem Niedergang
sei gelobt der Name des Herrn!
4 Der Herr ist erhaben über alle Heidenvölker,
seine Herrlichkeit ist höher als die Himmel.
5 Wer ist wie der Herr, unser Gott,
der in solcher Höhe thront?
6 Der so tief heruntersieht[b]
auf den Himmel und auf die Erde;
7 der den Geringen aufrichtet aus dem Staub
und den Armen erhöht aus dem Kot,
8 um ihn neben Fürsten zu setzen,
neben die Fürsten seines Volkes;
9 der die unfruchtbare Frau des Hauses wohnen lässt
als eine fröhliche Mutter von Söhnen.

2 Let the name of the Lord be praised,(C)
both now and forevermore.(D)
3 From the rising of the sun(E) to the place where it sets,
the name of the Lord is to be praised.
4 The Lord is exalted(F) over all the nations,
his glory above the heavens.(G)
5 Who is like the Lord our God,(H)
the One who sits enthroned(I) on high,(J)
6 who stoops down to look(K)
on the heavens and the earth?
7 He raises the poor(L) from the dust
and lifts the needy(M) from the ash heap;
8 he seats them(N) with princes,
with the princes of his people.
9 He settles the childless(O) woman in her home
as a happy mother of children.
Praise the Lord.

The Lord’s name is to be praised.

Who dwells on high,
6 (G)Who humbles Himself to behold
The things that are in the heavens and in the earth?
7 (H)He raises the poor out of the dust,
And lifts the (I)needy out of the ash heap,
8 That He may (J)seat him with princes—
With the princes of His people.

Like a joyful mother of children.
