Psalm 111[a]

Praise the Lord.[b]

I will extol the Lord(A) with all my heart(B)
    in the council(C) of the upright and in the assembly.(D)

Great are the works(E) of the Lord;
    they are pondered by all(F) who delight in them.
Glorious and majestic are his deeds,
    and his righteousness endures(G) forever.
He has caused his wonders to be remembered;
    the Lord is gracious and compassionate.(H)
He provides food(I) for those who fear him;(J)
    he remembers his covenant(K) forever.

He has shown his people the power of his works,(L)
    giving them the lands of other nations.(M)
The works of his hands(N) are faithful and just;
    all his precepts are trustworthy.(O)
They are established for ever(P) and ever,
    enacted in faithfulness and uprightness.
He provided redemption(Q) for his people;
    he ordained his covenant forever—
    holy and awesome(R) is his name.

10 The fear of the Lord(S) is the beginning of wisdom;(T)
    all who follow his precepts have good understanding.(U)
    To him belongs eternal praise.(V)

Great Are the Lord's Works

111 [a] (A)Praise the Lord!
I (B)will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart,
    in the company of (C)the upright, in the congregation.
Great are the (D)works of the Lord,
    (E)studied by all who delight in them.
(F)Full of splendor and majesty is his work,
    and his (G)righteousness endures forever.
He has (H)caused his wondrous works to be remembered;
    the Lord is gracious and merciful.
He provides food for those who fear him;
    he (I)remembers his covenant forever.
He has shown his people the power of his works,
    in giving them the inheritance of the nations.
The works of his hands are faithful and just;
    all his precepts are (J)trustworthy;
they are (K)established forever and ever,
    to be performed with (L)faithfulness and uprightness.
He sent (M)redemption to his people;
    he has (N)commanded his covenant forever.
    (O)Holy and awesome is his name!

    all those who practice it have (Q)a good understanding.

Perfection de l’action de Dieu

111 Louez l’Eternel!

Je louerai l’Eternel de tout mon cœur,

dans la réunion des hommes droits et dans l’assemblée.

Les œuvres de l’Eternel sont grandes,

recherchées par tous ceux qui les aiment.

Son activité n’est que splendeur et magnificence,

et sa justice subsiste à perpétuité.

Il a laissé le souvenir de ses merveilles.

L’Eternel fait grâce, il est rempli de compassion.

Il a donné de la nourriture à ceux qui le craignent,

il se souvient toujours de son alliance.

Il a montré à son peuple la puissance de ses œuvres

en lui donnant l’héritage d’autres nations.

Les œuvres de ses mains, c’est la vérité et la justice;

tous ses décrets sont dignes de confiance,

bien établis pour toute l’éternité,

faits avec vérité et droiture.

Il a envoyé la libération à son peuple,

il a prescrit son alliance pour toujours;

son nom est saint et redoutable.

10 La crainte de l’Eternel est le commencement de la sagesse.

Tous ceux qui respectent ses décrets ont une raison saine.

Sa gloire subsiste à perpétuité.
