Psalm 110
The Priestly King
A Davidic psalm.
1 This is the declaration of the Lord
to my Lord:
“Sit at My right hand
until I make Your enemies Your footstool.”(A)
2 The Lord will extend Your mighty scepter from Zion.
Rule[a] over Your surrounding[b] enemies.(B)
3 Your people will volunteer
on Your day of battle.[c](C)
In holy splendor, from the womb of the dawn,
the dew of Your youth belongs to You.[d](D)
4 The Lord has sworn an oath and will not take it back:
“Forever, You are a priest
like Melchizedek.”(E)
5 The Lord is at Your right hand;
He will crush kings on the day of His anger.(F)
6 He will judge the nations, heaping up corpses;(G)
He will crush leaders over the entire world.(H)
7 He will drink from the brook by the road;(I)
therefore, He will lift up His head.(J)

Sit at My Right Hand
A Psalm of David.
110 (A)The Lord says to my Lord:
    (B)“Sit at my right hand,
(C)until I make your enemies your (D)footstool.”
2 The Lord sends forth (E)from Zion
    (F)your mighty scepter.
    (G)Rule in the midst of your enemies!
3 (H)Your people will (I)offer themselves freely
    on the day of your (J)power,[a]
    in (K)holy garments;[b]
from the womb of the morning,
    the dew of your youth will be yours.[c]
4 (L)The Lord has (M)sworn
    and will (N)not change his mind,
(O)“You are (P)a priest (Q)forever
    after the order of (R)Melchizedek.”
5 The Lord is at your (S)right hand;
    he will (T)shatter kings on (U)the day of his wrath.
6 He will (V)execute judgment among the nations,
    (W)filling them with corpses;
he will (X)shatter chiefs[d]
    over the wide earth.
7 He will (Y)drink from the brook by the way;
    therefore he will lift up his head.

2 The Lord will extend your mighty scepter(D) from Zion,(E) saying,
    “Rule(F) in the midst of your enemies!”
3 Your troops will be willing
    on your day of battle.
Arrayed in holy splendor,(G)
    your young men will come to you
    like dew from the morning’s womb.[b](H)

Herren sa till min Herre:
    ”Sätt dig på min högra sida
tills jag har lagt dina fiender
    som en pall under dina fötter.”
2 Herren ska sträcka ut din makts spira från Sion.
    Härska bland dina fiender!
3 Villigt kommer ditt folk,
    när du intar makten.
I helig prakt, ur morgongryningen
    kommer den unga skaran till dig, som dagg.[b]
4 Herren har svurit och kommer inte att ändra sig:
    ”Du är präst för evigt, så som Melkisedek.”
5 Herren står vid din sida.
    Han krossar kungar på sin vredes dag.
6 Han dömer folken,
    överallt samlas lik,
    och han krossar hövdingar på hela jorden.[c]
7 Han dricker ur bäcken vid vägen
    och lyfter huvudet högt.
