11 (Ein Psalm Davids, vorzusingen.) Ich traue auf den HERRN. Wie sagt ihr denn zu meiner Seele: Fliehet wie ein Vogel auf eure Berge?
2 Denn siehe, die Gottlosen spannen den Bogen und legen ihre Pfeile auf die Sehnen, damit heimlich zu schießen die Frommen.
3 Denn sie reißen den Grund um; was sollte der Gerechte ausrichten?
4 Der HERR ist in seinem heiligen Tempel, des HERRN Stuhl ist im Himmel; seine Augen sehen darauf, seine Augenlider prüfen die Menschenkinder.
5 Der HERR prüft den Gerechten; seine Seele haßt den Gottlosen und die gerne freveln.
6 Er wird regnen lassen über die Gottlosen Blitze, Feuer und Schwefel und wird ihnen ein Wetter zum Lohn geben.
7 Der HERR ist gerecht und hat Gerechtigkeit lieb; die Frommen werden schauen sein Angesicht.

To the Chief Musician or Choir Leader. [A Psalm] of David.
1 In the Lord I take refuge [and put my trust]; how can you say to me, Flee like a bird to your mountain?
2 For see, the wicked are bending the bow; they make ready their arrow upon the string, that they [furtively] in darkness may shoot at the upright in heart.
3 If the foundations are destroyed, what can the [unyieldingly] righteous do, or what has He [the Righteous One] wrought or accomplished?
4 The Lord is in His holy temple; the Lord’s throne is in heaven. His eyes behold; His eyelids test and prove the children of men.(A)
5 The Lord tests and proves the [unyieldingly] righteous, but His soul abhors the wicked and him who loves violence.(B)
6 Upon the wicked He will rain quick burning coals or snares; fire, brimstone, and a [dreadful] scorching wind shall be the portion of their cup.
7 For the Lord is [rigidly] righteous, He loves righteous deeds; the upright shall behold His face, or He beholds the upright.

For the director of music. Of David.
1 In the Lord I take refuge.(A)
How then can you say to me:
“Flee(B) like a bird to your mountain.(C)
2 For look, the wicked bend their bows;(D)
they set their arrows(E) against the strings
to shoot from the shadows(F)
at the upright in heart.(G)
3 When the foundations(H) are being destroyed,
what can the righteous do?”
4 The Lord is in his holy temple;(I)
the Lord is on his heavenly throne.(J)
He observes everyone on earth;(K)
his eyes examine(L) them.
5 The Lord examines the righteous,(M)
but the wicked, those who love violence,
he hates with a passion.(N)
6 On the wicked he will rain
fiery coals and burning sulfur;(O)
a scorching wind(P) will be their lot.

En el Señor confío
11 Al maestro del coro. De David.
En el Señor confío, ¿cómo podéis decirme:
“Vuela a los montes como un pájaro,
2 si los malvados ya han tensado su arco
y tienen ya la flecha en la cuerda
para disparar en la penumbra a los honrados?
3 Cuando son arrasados los cimientos,
¿qué puede hacer el justo”?
4 El Señor está en su santo Templo,
el Señor tiene su trono en el cielo.
Sus ojos están observando,
su mirada sondea a los humanos:
5 el Señor sondea al justo y al malvado,
él detesta al que ama la violencia.
6 Hará llover sobre los malos brasas y azufre,
un viento ardiente será la porción de su copa.
7 Porque el Señor es justo y ama la justicia;
quien es recto podrá contemplar su rostro.
