A song. A psalm of David.
108 My heart is confident, God;
I will sing; I will sing praises
with the whole of my being.[a](A)
2 Wake up, harp and lyre!
I will wake up the dawn.(B)
3 I will praise you, Lord, among the peoples;
I will sing praises to you among the nations.(C)
4 For your faithful love is higher than the heavens,
and your faithfulness reaches to the clouds.(D)
5 God, be exalted above the heavens,(E)
and let your glory be over the whole earth.(F)
6 Save with your right hand and answer me
so that those you love may be rescued.(G)
7 God has spoken in his sanctuary:[b]
‘I will celebrate!
I will divide up Shechem.(H)
I will apportion the Valley of Succoth.(I)
8 Gilead is mine, Manasseh is mine,
and Ephraim is my helmet;(J)
Judah is my sceptre.(K)
9 Moab is my washbasin;(L)
I throw my sandal on Edom.(M)
I shout in triumph over Philistia.’(N)
10 Who will bring me to the fortified city?
Who will lead me to Edom?(O)
11 God, haven’t you rejected us?
God, you do not march out with our armies.(P)
12 Give us aid against the foe,
for human help is worthless.(Q)
13 With God we will perform valiantly;(R)
he will trample our foes.(S)

O cântare. Un psalm al lui David
1 Gata(A) îmi este inima să cânte, Dumnezeule!
Voi cânta, voi suna din instrumentele mele; aceasta este slava mea!
2 Deşteptaţi-vă(B), alăută şi harpă!
Mă voi trezi în zori de zi.
3 Te voi lăuda printre popoare, Doamne,
Te voi cânta printre neamuri.
4 Căci mare este bunătatea Ta şi se înalţă mai presus de ceruri,
iar credincioşia Ta până la nori.
5 Înalţă-Te(C) peste ceruri, Dumnezeule,
şi fie slava Ta peste tot pământul!
6 Pentru ca(D) preaiubiţii Tăi să fie izbăviţi,
scapă-ne prin dreapta Ta şi ascultă-ne!
7 Dumnezeu a vorbit în sfinţenia Lui: „Voi birui,
voi împărţi Sihemul, voi măsura Valea Sucot;
8 al Meu este Galaadul, al Meu Manase;
Efraim este întăritura capului Meu
şi Iuda(E), toiagul Meu de cârmuire;
9 Moab este ligheanul în care Mă spăl;
Îmi arunc încălţămintea asupra Edomului;
strig de bucurie asupra ţării filistenilor!”
10 Cine(F) mă va duce în cetatea întărită?
Cine mă va duce la Edom?
11 Oare nu Tu, Dumnezeule, care ne-ai lepădat
şi care nu vrei să mai ieşi, Dumnezeule, cu oştirile noastre?
12 Dă-ne ajutor în necaz,
căci zadarnic este ajutorul omului.
13 Cu(G) Dumnezeu vom face mari isprăvi;
El va zdrobi pe vrăjmaşii noştri.

108 (108:1) Cantique. Psaume de David. (108:2) Mon coeur est affermi, ô Dieu! Je chanterai, je ferai retentir mes instruments: c'est ma gloire!
2 (108:3) Réveillez-vous, mon luth et ma harpe! Je réveillerai l'aurore.
3 (108:4) Je te louerai parmi les peuples, Éternel! Je te chanterai parmi les nations.
4 (108:5) Car ta bonté s'élève au-dessus des cieux, Et ta fidélité jusqu'aux nues.
5 (108:6) Élève-toi sur les cieux, ô Dieu! Et que ta gloire soit sur toute la terre!
6 (108:7) Afin que tes bien-aimés soient délivrés, Sauve par ta droite, et exauce-nous!
7 (108:8) Dieu a dit dans sa sainteté: Je triompherai, Je partagerai Sichem, je mesurerai la vallée de Succoth;
8 (108:9) A moi Galaad, à moi Manassé; Éphraïm est le rempart de ma tête, Et Juda, mon sceptre;
9 (108:10) Moab est le bassin où je me lave; Je jette mon soulier sur Édom; Je pousse des cris de joie sur le pays des Philistins!
10 (108:11) Qui me mènera dans la ville forte? Qui me conduit à Édom?
11 (108:12) N'est-ce pas toi, ô Dieu, qui nous as repoussés, Et qui ne sortais plus, ô Dieu, avec nos armées?
12 (108:13) Donne-nous du secours contre la détresse! Le secours de l'homme n'est que vanité.
13 (108:14) Avec Dieu, nous ferons des exploits; Il écrasera nos ennemis.

I will sing of you among the peoples.
4 For great is your love,(F) higher than the heavens;
your faithfulness(G) reaches to the skies.(H)
5 Be exalted, O God, above the heavens;(I)
let your glory be over all the earth.(J)
6 Save us and help us with your right hand,(K)
that those you love may be delivered.

“In triumph I will parcel out Shechem(N)
