They were hungry [a]and thirsty;

Then they (B)cried out to the Lord in their trouble;
He saved them from their distresses.
He also had them walk on a [b](C)straight way,
To go to [c](D)an inhabited city.
(E)They shall give thanks to the Lord for His mercy,
And for His [d]wonders to the sons of mankind!
For He has (F)satisfied the [e]thirsty soul,
And He has filled the (G)hungry soul with what is good.
