Our fathers in Egypt did not understand Your [a]wonders;
They (A)did not remember [b]Your abundant kindnesses,
But (B)rebelled by the sea, at the [c]Red Sea.
Nevertheless He saved them (C)for the sake of His name,
So that He might (D)make His power known.
So He (E)rebuked the [d]Red Sea and it (F)dried up,
And He (G)led them through the mighty waters, as through the wilderness.
10 So He (H)saved them from the [e]hand of one who hated them,
And (I)redeemed them from the [f]hand of the enemy.
11 (J)The waters covered their adversaries;
Not one of them was left.
12 Then they (K)believed His words;
They (L)sang His praise.
