³ For what does the Scripture say? ^(A)“Abraham believed God, and it was ^[a]accounted to him for righteousness.”

²⁰ He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, ²¹ and being fully convinced that what He had promised ^(A)He was also able to perform. ²² And therefore ^(B)“it was accounted to him for righteousness.”

²³ Now ^(C)it was not written for his sake alone that it was imputed to him, ²⁴ but also for us. It shall be imputed to us who believe ^(D)in Him who raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead,

⁶ just as Abraham ^(A)“believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.”

²³ And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, ^(A)“Abraham believed God, and it was ^[a]accounted to him for righteousness.” And he was called ^(B)the friend of God.
