Psalm 106:28-30

English Standard Version

²⁸Then they ^(A)yoked themselves to the ^(B)Baal of Peor,
    and ate sacrifices offered to ^(C)the dead;
²⁹they provoked the Lord to anger with their deeds,
    and a plague broke out among them.
³⁰Then ^(D)Phinehas stood up and intervened,
    and the plague was stayed.

²⁹they aroused the Lord’s anger^(B) by their wicked deeds,^(C)
    and a plague^(D) broke out among them.
³⁰But Phinehas^(E) stood up and intervened,
    and the plague was checked.^(F)
