²⁷ And that He would ^(A)cast their seed among the nations
And ^(B)scatter them in the lands.

²⁸ They ^(C)joined themselves also to ^[a]Baal-peor,
And ate ^(D)sacrifices offered to the dead.
²⁹ Thus they ^(E)provoked Him to anger with their deeds,
And the plague broke out among them.
