Psalm 103
English Standard Version
Bless the Lord, O My Soul
Of David.
103 (A)Bless the Lord, O my soul,
and all that is within me,
bless his holy name!
2 (B)Bless the Lord, O my soul,
and (C)forget not all his benefits,
3 who (D)forgives all your iniquity,
who (E)heals all your diseases,
4 who (F)redeems your life from the pit,
who (G)crowns you with steadfast love and mercy,
5 who (H)satisfies you with good
so that your youth is renewed like (I)the eagle's.
6 The Lord works (J)righteousness
and justice for all who are oppressed.
7 He made known his (K)ways to Moses,
his (L)acts to the people of Israel.
8 The Lord is (M)merciful and gracious,
slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love.
9 (N)He will not always chide,
nor will he (O)keep his anger forever.
10 He does not deal with us (P)according to our sins,
nor repay us according to our iniquities.
11 For (Q)as high as the heavens are above the earth,
so great is his (R)steadfast love toward (S)those who fear him;
12 as far as the east is from the west,
so far does he (T)remove our transgressions from us.
13 As (U)a father shows compassion to his children,
so the Lord shows compassion (V)to those who fear him.
14 For he knows our frame;[a]
he (W)remembers that we are dust.
15 As for man, his days are like (X)grass;
he flourishes like (Y)a flower of the field;
16 for (Z)the wind passes over it, and (AA)it is gone,
and (AB)its place knows it no more.
17 But (AC)the steadfast love of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting on (AD)those who fear him,
and his righteousness to (AE)children's children,
18 to those who (AF)keep his covenant
and (AG)remember to do his commandments.
19 The Lord has (AH)established his throne in the heavens,
and his (AI)kingdom rules over all.
20 Bless the Lord, O you (AJ)his angels,
you (AK)mighty ones who (AL)do his word,
obeying the voice of his word!
21 Bless the Lord, all his (AM)hosts,
his (AN)ministers, who do his will!
22 (AO)Bless the Lord, all his works,
in all places of his dominion.
(AP)Bless the Lord, O my soul!

The Lord Will Be Gracious
18 Therefore the Lord (A)waits to be gracious to you,
and therefore he (B)exalts himself to show mercy to you.
For the Lord is a God of justice;
(C)blessed are all those who wait for him.
19 For a people shall dwell (D)in Zion, in Jerusalem; you shall weep no more. He will surely be gracious to you at the sound of your cry. As soon as he hears it, he answers you. 20 And though the Lord give you the (E)bread of adversity and the (F)water of affliction, (G)yet your Teacher will not hide himself anymore, but your eyes shall see your Teacher. 21 (H)And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is (I)the way, walk in it,” when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left.

The Resurrection of the Dead
12 Now if Christ is proclaimed as raised from the dead, (A)how can some of you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? 13 But if there is no resurrection of the dead, (B)then not even Christ has been raised. 14 And if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is in vain and your faith is in vain. 15 We are even found to be misrepresenting God, because we testified about God that (C)he raised Christ, whom he did not raise if it is true that the dead are not raised. 16 For if the dead are not raised, not even Christ has been raised. 17 And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile and (D)you are still in your sins. 18 Then those also who (E)have fallen asleep in Christ have perished. 19 If in Christ we have hope[a] in this life only, (F)we are of all people most to be pitied.
20 But in fact (G)Christ has been raised from the dead, (H)the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. 21 For as (I)by a man came death, (J)by a man has come also the resurrection of the dead. 22 For (K)as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive. 23 But each in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, then (L)at his coming (M)those who belong to Christ. 24 Then comes the end, when he delivers (N)the kingdom to God the Father after destroying (O)every rule and every authority and power. 25 For he must reign (P)until he has put all his enemies under his feet. 26 The last enemy to be (Q)destroyed is death. 27 For (R)“God[b] has put all things in subjection under his feet.” But when it says, “all things are put in subjection,” it is plain that he is excepted who put all things in subjection under him. 28 When (S)all things are subjected to him, then the Son himself will also be subjected to him who put all things in subjection under him, that (T)God may be all in all.

Jesus Promises the Holy Spirit
15 (A)“If you love me, you will (B)keep my commandments. 16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another (C)Helper,[a] to be with you forever, 17 even (D)the Spirit of truth, (E)whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and (F)will be[b] in you.
18 “I will not leave you as orphans; (G)I will come to you. 19 (H)Yet a little while and the world will see me no more, but (I)you will see me. (J)Because I live, you also will live. 20 (K)In that day you will know that (L)I am in my Father, and (M)you in me, and (N)I in you. 21 (O)Whoever has my commandments and (P)keeps them, he it is who loves me. And (Q)he who loves me (R)will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and (S)manifest myself to him.” 22 (T)Judas (not Iscariot) said to him, “Lord, how is it (U)that you will manifest yourself to us, and not to the world?” 23 Jesus answered him, (V)“If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and (W)we will come to him and (X)make our home with him. 24 Whoever does not love me does not keep my words. And (Y)the word that you hear is not mine but the Father's who sent me.
25 “These things I have spoken to you while I am still with you. 26 But the (Z)Helper, the Holy Spirit, (AA)whom the Father will send in my name, (AB)he will teach you all things and (AC)bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you. 27 (AD)Peace I leave with you; (AE)my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. (AF)Let not your hearts be troubled, neither (AG)let them be afraid. 28 (AH)You heard me say to you, (AI)‘I am going away, and I will come to you.’ If you loved me, you would have rejoiced, because I (AJ)am going to the Father, for (AK)the Father is greater than I. 29 And (AL)now I have told you before it takes place, so that when it does take place you may believe. 30 I will no longer talk much with you, for (AM)the ruler of this world is coming. (AN)He has no claim on me, 31 but I do (AO)as the Father has commanded me, (AP)so that the world may know that I love the Father. Rise, let us go from here.
