Psalm 102:18-28

New American Standard Bible

¹⁸^[a]This will be ^(A)written for the ^(B)generation to come,
^[b]That ^(C)a people yet to be created ^[c]may praise ^[d]the Lord:
¹⁹For He ^(D)looked down from His holy height;
^(E)From heaven the Lord looked ^[e]upon the earth,
²⁰To hear the ^(F)groaning of the prisoner,
To ^(G)set free ^[f]those who were doomed to death,
²¹So that people may ^(H)tell of the name of the Lord in Zion,
And His praise in Jerusalem,
²²When ^(I)the peoples are gathered together,
And the kingdoms, to serve the Lord.

²³He has broken my strength in the way;
He has ^(J)shortened my days.
²⁴I say, “My God, ^(K)do not take me away in the middle of my days,
Your ^(L)years are ^[g]throughout all generations.
²⁵In time of old You ^(M)founded the earth,
And the ^(N)heavens are the work of Your hands.
²⁶^[h]Even they will ^(O)perish, but You endure;
All of them will wear out like a garment;
Like clothing You will change them and they will pass away.
²⁷But You are ^[i]^(P)the same,
And Your years will not come to an end.
²⁸The ^(Q)children of Your servants will continue,
And their ^[j]^(R)descendants will be established before You.”
