Psalm 100 New American Bible (Revised Edition) (NABRE)

Psalm 100[a]

Processional Hymn

A psalm of thanksgiving.

Shout joyfully to the Lord, all you lands;
    serve the Lord with gladness;
    come before him with joyful song.
[b]Know that the Lord is God,
    he made us, we belong to him,
    we are his people, the flock he shepherds.
Enter his gates with thanksgiving,
    his courts with praise.
Give thanks to him, bless his name;
    good indeed is the Lord,
His mercy endures forever,
    his faithfulness lasts through every generation.

  1. Psalm 100 A hymn inviting the people to enter the Temple courts with thank offerings for the God who created them.
  2. 100:3 Although the people call on all the nations of the world to join in their hymn, they are conscious of being the chosen people of God.
