⁴ The wicked in his proud countenance does not seek God;
^[a]God is in none of his ^(A)thoughts.

¹¹ And He will spread out His hands in their midst
As a swimmer reaches out to swim,
And He will bring down their ^(A)pride
Together with the trickery of their hands.

¹⁶ Your fierceness has deceived you,
The ^(A)pride of your heart,
O you who dwell in the clefts of the rock,
Who hold the height of the hill!
^(B)Though you make your ^(C)nest as high as the eagle,
^(D)I will bring you down from there,” says the Lord.
