Let Us Sing Songs of Praise

95 Oh come, let us sing to the Lord;
    let us (A)make a joyful noise to (B)the rock of our salvation!
Let us (C)come into his presence with thanksgiving;
    let us (D)make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise!
For the Lord is (E)a great God,
    and a great King (F)above all gods.
In his hand are the depths of the earth;
    the heights of the mountains are his also.
The sea is his, for (G)he made it,
    and his hands formed (H)the dry land.

Oh come, let us worship and bow down;
    let us (I)kneel before the Lord, our (J)Maker!
For he is our (K)God,
    and we are the people of his (L)pasture,
    and the sheep of his hand.
(M)Today, if you (N)hear his voice,
    (O)do not harden your hearts, as at (P)Meribah,
    as on the day at (Q)Massah in the wilderness,
when your fathers put me to the (R)test
    and put me to the proof, though they had seen my (S)work.
10 (T)For forty years I loathed that generation
    and said, “They are a people who go astray in their heart,
    and they have not known (U)my ways.”
11 Therefore I (V)swore in my wrath,
    “They shall not enter (W)my rest.”

Then Moses (A)said to Aaron, “Say to the whole congregation of the people of Israel, (B)‘Come near before the Lord, for he has heard your grumbling.’” 10 And as soon as Aaron spoke to the whole congregation of the people of Israel, they looked toward the wilderness, and behold, the (C)glory of the Lord appeared in the cloud. 11 And the Lord said to Moses, 12 “I (D)have heard the grumbling of the people of Israel. Say to them, ‘At (E)twilight you shall eat meat, and (F)in the morning you shall be filled with bread. Then you shall know that I am the Lord your God.’”

13 In the evening (G)quail came up and covered the camp, and in the morning (H)dew lay around the camp. 14 And when the dew had gone up, there was on the face of the wilderness a fine, flake-like thing, fine as frost on the ground. 15 When the people of Israel saw it, they said to one another, (I)“What is it?”[a] For they (J)did not know what it was. And Moses said to them, (K)“It is the bread that the Lord has given you to eat. 16 This is what the Lord has commanded: ‘Gather of it, each one of you, as much as he can eat. You shall each take an (L)omer,[b] according to the number of the persons that each of you has in his tent.’” 17 And the people of Israel did so. They gathered, some more, some less. 18 But when they measured it with an omer, (M)whoever gathered much had nothing left over, and whoever gathered little had no lack. Each of them gathered as much as he could eat. 19 And Moses said to them, “Let no one leave any of it over till the morning.” 20 But they did not listen to Moses. Some left part of it till the morning, and (N)it bred worms and stank. And Moses was angry with them. 21 Morning by morning they gathered it, each as much as he could eat; but when the sun grew hot, it melted.

One in Christ

11 Therefore remember that at one time you Gentiles in the flesh, called “the uncircumcision” by what is called (A)the circumcision, which is made in the flesh by hands— 12 remember (B)that you were at that time separated from Christ, (C)alienated from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers to (D)the covenants of promise, (E)having no hope and without God in the world. 13 But now in Christ Jesus you who once were (F)far off have been brought near (G)by the blood of Christ. 14 For (H)he himself is our peace, (I)who has made us both one and has broken down (J)in his flesh the dividing wall of hostility 15 by abolishing the law of commandments expressed in (K)ordinances, that he might create in himself one (L)new man in place of the two, so making peace, 16 and might (M)reconcile us both to God in one body through the cross, thereby killing the hostility. 17 And he came and (N)preached peace to you who were (O)far off and peace to those who were (P)near. 18 For (Q)through him we both have (R)access in (S)one Spirit to the Father. 19 So then you are no longer (T)strangers and aliens,[a] but you are (U)fellow citizens with the saints and (V)members of the household of God, 20 (W)built on the foundation of the (X)apostles and prophets, (Y)Christ Jesus himself being (Z)the cornerstone, 21 (AA)in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into (AB)a holy temple in the Lord. 22 In him (AC)you also are being built together (AD)into a dwelling place for God by[b] the Spirit.
