⁴ Because I know that you are ^[a](A)stiff,
And your ^(B)neck is an iron sinew
And your ^(C)forehead bronze,

³ O Yahweh, do not ^(A)Your eyes look for faithfulness?
You have ^(B)struck them,
But they did not ^[a]weaken;
You have consumed them,
But they ^(C)refused to receive discipline.
They have ^(D)made their faces stronger than rock;
They have refused to ^[b]repent.

¹⁵ Were they ^(A)ashamed because of the abomination they have done?
They were not even ashamed at all;
They did not even know how to feel dishonor.
Therefore they shall fall among those who fall;
At the time that I punish them,
They shall be cast down,” says Yahweh.
