Psalm 88:7-9

New International Version

⁷ Your wrath^(A) lies heavily on me;
    you have overwhelmed me with all your waves.^[a](B)
8 You have taken from me my closest friends^(C)
    and have made me repulsive to them.
I am confined^(D) and cannot escape;^(E)
9     my eyes^(F) are dim with grief.

I call^(G) to you, Lord, every day;
    I spread out my hands^(H) to you.
