2 You (A)forgave the iniquity of your people;
you (B)covered all their sin. Selah
3 You withdrew all your wrath;
you (C)turned from your hot anger.
4 (D)Restore us again, O God of our salvation,
and put away your indignation toward us!
5 (E)Will you be angry with us forever?
Will you prolong your anger to all generations?
6 Will you not (F)revive us again,
that your people may (G)rejoice in you?
7 Show us your steadfast love, O Lord,
and grant us your salvation.
8 (H)Let me hear what God the Lord will speak,
for he will (I)speak peace to his people, to his (J)saints;
but let them not (K)turn back to (L)folly.
9 Surely his (M)salvation is near to those who fear him,
that (N)glory may dwell in our land.
10 (O)Steadfast love and faithfulness meet;
(P)righteousness and peace kiss each other.
11 Faithfulness springs up from the ground,
and righteousness looks down from the sky.
12 Yes, (Q)the Lord will give what is good,
and our land (R)will yield its increase.
13 (S)Righteousness will go before him
and make his footsteps a way.

86 (U)Incline your ear, O Lord, and answer me,
for I am (V)poor and needy.
2 Preserve my life, for I am (W)godly;
save your servant, who (X)trusts in you—you are my God.
3 (Y)Be gracious to me, O Lord,
for to you do I cry all the day.
4 Gladden the soul of your servant,
for (Z)to you, O Lord, do I lift up my soul.
5 For you, O Lord, are good and (AA)forgiving,
(AB)abounding in steadfast love to all who call upon you.

and covered all their sins.[a]
3 You set aside all your wrath(C)
and turned from your fierce anger.(D)
4 Restore(E) us again, God our Savior,(F)
and put away your displeasure toward us.
5 Will you be angry with us forever?(G)
Will you prolong your anger through all generations?
6 Will you not revive(H) us again,
that your people may rejoice(I) in you?
7 Show us your unfailing love,(J) Lord,
and grant us your salvation.(K)
8 I will listen to what God the Lord says;
he promises peace(L) to his people, his faithful servants—
but let them not turn to folly.(M)
9 Surely his salvation(N) is near those who fear him,
that his glory(O) may dwell in our land.
10 Love and faithfulness(P) meet together;
righteousness(Q) and peace kiss each other.
11 Faithfulness springs forth from the earth,
and righteousness(R) looks down from heaven.
12 The Lord will indeed give what is good,(S)
and our land will yield(T) its harvest.
13 Righteousness goes before him
and prepares the way for his steps.

1 Hear me, Lord, and answer(U) me,
for I am poor and needy.
2 Guard my life, for I am faithful to you;
save your servant who trusts in you.(V)
You are my God; 3 have mercy(W) on me, Lord,
for I call(X) to you all day long.
4 Bring joy to your servant, Lord,
for I put my trust(Y) in you.
5 You, Lord, are forgiving and good,
abounding in love(Z) to all who call to you.
