²You forgave^(A) the iniquity^(B) of your people
and covered all their sins.^[a]

²Thou hast forgiven the iniquity of thy people, thou hast covered all their sin. Selah.

³You set aside all your wrath^(A)
and turned from your fierce anger.^(B)

³Thou hast taken away all thy wrath: thou hast turned thyself from the fierceness of thine anger.

⁴Restore^(A) us again, God our Savior,^(B)
and put away your displeasure toward us.

⁴Turn us, O God of our salvation, and cause thine anger toward us to cease.
