⁴ ‘Thus says Yahweh, the God of Israel, “Behold, I am about to ^(A)turn back the weapons of war which are in your hands, with which you are warring against the king of Babylon and the Chaldeans who are besieging you outside the wall; and I will ^(B)gather them into the center of this city. ⁵ I ^(C)Myself will war against you with an ^(D)outstretched hand and a strong arm, even in ^(E)anger and wrath and great indignation.

²¹ “Son of man, I have ^(A)broken the arm of Pharaoh king of Egypt; and behold, it has not been ^(B)bound up to be given healing ^[a]or wrapped with a bandage, that it may be strong to seize the sword. ²² Therefore thus says Lord Yahweh, ‘Behold, I am ^(C)against Pharaoh king of Egypt and will break his arms, both the strong and the ^(D)broken; and I will make the sword ^(E)fall from his hand. ²³ I will ^(F)scatter the Egyptians among the nations and disperse them among the lands. ²⁴ For I will ^(G)strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon and put ^(H)My sword in his hand; and I will break the arms of Pharaoh so that he will groan before him with the groanings of a wounded man.

⁵ And it will be in that day, that I will ^(A)break the bow of Israel in the ^(B)valley of Jezreel.”
