With axe and hammers.
7 They have [b](B)burned Your sanctuary [c]to the ground;
They have (C)defiled the dwelling place of Your name.
8 They (D)said in their heart, “Let’s [d]completely [e]subdue them.”
They have burned all the meeting places of God in the land.

    with their axes and hatchets.
7 They burned your sanctuary to the ground;
    they defiled(B) the dwelling place(C) of your Name.(D)
8 They said in their hearts, “We will crush(E) them completely!”
    They burned(F) every place where God was worshiped in the land.
