Vindicate me, Lord, according to my righteousness,^(B)

9 Bring to an end the violence of the wicked
    and make the righteous secure—^(E)
you, the righteous God^(F)
    who probes minds and hearts.^(G)

¹⁰ My shield^[a](H) is God Most High,
    who saves the upright in heart.^(I)
