Psalm 68:9-19
New International Version
9 You gave abundant showers,(A) O God;
you refreshed your weary inheritance.
10 Your people settled in it,
and from your bounty,(B) God, you provided(C) for the poor.
11 The Lord announces the word,
and the women who proclaim it are a mighty throng:(D)
12 “Kings and armies flee(E) in haste;
the women at home divide the plunder.(F)
13 Even while you sleep among the sheep pens,[a](G)
the wings of my dove are sheathed with silver,
its feathers with shining gold.”
14 When the Almighty[b] scattered(H) the kings in the land,
it was like snow fallen on Mount Zalmon.(I)
15 Mount Bashan,(J) majestic mountain,(K)
Mount Bashan, rugged mountain,
16 why gaze in envy, you rugged mountain,
at the mountain where God chooses(L) to reign,
where the Lord himself will dwell forever?(M)
17 The chariots(N) of God are tens of thousands
and thousands of thousands;(O)
the Lord has come from Sinai into his sanctuary.[c]
18 When you ascended(P) on high,(Q)
you took many captives;(R)
you received gifts from people,(S)
even from[d] the rebellious(T)—
that you,[e] Lord God, might dwell there.
