O God of Our Salvation
To the choirmaster. A Psalm of David. A Song.
65 Praise (A)is due to you,[a] O God, in Zion,
and to you shall (B)vows be performed.
2 O you who (C)hear prayer,
to you (D)shall all flesh come.
3 When (E)iniquities prevail against me,
you (F)atone for our transgressions.
4 (G)Blessed is the one you choose and bring near,
to (H)dwell in your courts!
We shall be (I)satisfied with the goodness of your house,
the holiness of your temple!
5 By (J)awesome deeds you answer us with righteousness,
O God of our salvation,
the hope of all (K)the ends of the earth
and of the farthest seas;
6 the one who by his strength established the mountains,
being (L)girded with might;
7 who (M)stills the roaring of the seas,
the roaring of their waves,
(N)the tumult of the peoples,
8 so that those who dwell at the ends of the earth are in awe at your signs.
You make the going out of the morning and the evening to shout for joy.
9 You visit the earth and (O)water it;[b]
you greatly enrich it;
(P)the river of God is full of water;
(Q)you provide their grain,
for so you have prepared it.
10 You water its furrows abundantly,
settling its ridges,
softening it with (R)showers,
and blessing its growth.
11 You crown the year with your bounty;
your wagon tracks (S)overflow with abundance.
12 (T)The pastures of the wilderness overflow,
the hills (U)gird themselves with joy,
13 (V)the meadows clothe themselves with flocks,
the valleys deck themselves with grain,
they (W)shout and sing together for joy.

66 (X)Shout for joy to God, all the earth;
2 sing the glory of his name;
(Y)give to him glorious praise!
3 Say to God, (Z)“How awesome are your deeds!
So great is your power that your enemies (AA)come cringing to you.
4 (AB)All the earth worships you
and sings praises to you;
they sing praises to your name.” Selah
5 (AC)Come and see what God has done:
(AD)he is awesome in his deeds toward the children of man.
6 He (AE)turned the sea into dry land;
they (AF)passed through the river on foot.
There did we rejoice in him,
7 who rules by his might forever,
whose (AG)eyes keep watch on the nations—
let not the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah
8 Bless our God, O peoples;
let the sound of his praise be heard,
9 who has kept our soul among the living
and (AH)has not let our feet slip.
10 For you, O God, have (AI)tested us;
you have tried us as silver is tried.
11 You brought us into (AJ)the net;
you laid a crushing burden on our backs;
12 you let men (AK)ride over our heads;
we went through fire and through (AL)water;
yet you have brought us out to a place of abundance.
13 I will come into your house with burnt offerings;
I will (AM)perform my vows to you,
14 that which my lips uttered
and my mouth promised (AN)when I was in trouble.
15 I will offer to you burnt offerings of fattened animals,
with the smoke of the sacrifice of rams;
I will make an offering of bulls and goats. Selah
16 (AO)Come and hear, all you who fear God,
and I will tell what he has done for my soul.
17 I cried to him with my mouth,
and high praise was on[c] my tongue.[d]
18 If I had (AP)cherished iniquity in my heart,
(AQ)the Lord would not have listened.
19 But truly (AR)God has listened;
he has attended to the voice of my prayer.
20 Blessed be God,
because he has not rejected my prayer
or removed his steadfast love from me!
Make Your Face Shine upon Us

67 May God (AT)be gracious to us and bless us
and make his face to (AU)shine upon us, Selah
2 that (AV)your way may be known on earth,
your (AW)saving power among all nations.
3 (AX)Let the peoples praise you, O God;
let all the peoples praise you!
4 Let the nations be glad and sing for joy,
for you (AY)judge the peoples with equity
and guide the nations upon earth. Selah
5 (AZ)Let the peoples praise you, O God;
let all the peoples praise you!
6 The earth has (BA)yielded its increase;
God, our God, shall bless us.
7 God shall bless us;
let (BB)all the ends of the earth fear him!
God Shall Scatter His Enemies

68 (BC)God shall arise, his enemies shall be (BD)scattered;
and those who hate him shall flee before him!
2 As (BE)smoke is driven away, so you shall drive them away;
(BF)as wax melts before fire,
so the wicked shall perish before God!
3 But (BG)the righteous shall be glad;
they shall exult before God;
they shall be jubilant with joy!
4 Sing to God, (BH)sing praises to his name;
(BI)lift up a song to him who (BJ)rides through (BK)the deserts;
his name is (BL)the Lord;
exult before him!
5 (BM)Father of the fatherless and (BN)protector of widows
is God in his holy habitation.
6 God (BO)settles the solitary in a home;
he (BP)leads out the prisoners to prosperity,
but (BQ)the rebellious dwell in (BR)a parched land.
7 O God, when you (BS)went out before your people,
(BT)when you marched through (BU)the wilderness, Selah
8 (BV)the earth quaked, the heavens poured down rain,
before God, the One of Sinai,
before God,[e] the God of Israel.
9 (BW)Rain in abundance, O God, you shed abroad;
you restored your inheritance as it languished;
10 your flock[f] found a dwelling in it;
in your goodness, O God, you (BX)provided for the needy.
11 The Lord gives (BY)the word;
(BZ)the women who announce the news are a great host:
12 (CA)“The kings of the armies—they flee, they flee!”
The women at home (CB)divide the spoil—
13 though you men lie among (CC)the sheepfolds—
the wings of a dove covered with silver,
its pinions with shimmering gold.
14 When the Almighty scatters kings there,
let snow fall on (CD)Zalmon.
15 O mountain of God, mountain of Bashan;
O many-peaked[g] mountain, mountain of Bashan!
16 Why do you look with hatred, O many-peaked mountain,
at the mount that God (CE)desired for his abode,
yes, where the Lord will dwell forever?
17 (CF)The chariots of God are twice ten thousand,
thousands upon thousands;
the Lord is among them; Sinai is now in the sanctuary.
18 (CG)You ascended on high,
(CH)leading a host of captives in your train
and (CI)receiving gifts among men,
even among (CJ)the rebellious, (CK)that the Lord God may dwell there.
19 Blessed be the Lord,
who daily (CL)bears us up;
God is our salvation. Selah
20 Our God is a God of salvation,
(CM)and to God, the Lord, belong deliverances from death.
21 (CN)But God will strike the heads of his enemies,
the hairy crown of him who walks in his guilty ways.
22 The Lord said,
“I will bring them back (CO)from Bashan,
(CP)I will bring them back from the depths of the sea,
23 that you may (CQ)strike your feet in their blood,
that (CR)the tongues of your dogs may have their portion from the foe.”
24 Your procession is[h] seen, O God,
the procession of my God, my King, into the sanctuary—
25 (CS)the singers in front, (CT)the musicians last,
between them (CU)virgins playing tambourines:
26 (CV)“Bless God in the great congregation,
the Lord, O you[i] who are of (CW)Israel's fountain!”
27 There is (CX)Benjamin, the least of them, in the lead,
the princes of Judah in their throng,
the princes of (CY)Zebulun, the princes of Naphtali.
28 (CZ)Summon your power, O God,[j]
the power, O God, by which you have worked for us.
29 Because of your temple at Jerusalem
kings shall (DA)bear gifts to you.
30 Rebuke (DB)the beasts that dwell among the reeds,
the herd of (DC)bulls with the calves of the peoples.
(DD)Trample underfoot those who lust after tribute;
scatter the peoples who delight in war.[k]
31 Nobles shall come from (DE)Egypt;
(DF)Cush shall hasten to (DG)stretch out her hands to God.
32 (DH)O kingdoms of the earth, sing to God;
sing praises to the Lord, Selah
33 to him (DI)who rides in (DJ)the heavens, the ancient heavens;
behold, he (DK)sends out his voice, his mighty voice.
34 (DL)Ascribe power to God,
whose majesty is over Israel,
and whose (DM)power is in (DN)the skies.
35 (DO)Awesome is God from his[l] (DP)sanctuary;
the God of Israel—he is the one who gives (DQ)power and strength to his people.

1 Praise awaits[b] you, our God, in Zion;(A)
to you our vows will be fulfilled.(B)
2 You who answer prayer,
to you all people will come.(C)
3 When we were overwhelmed by sins,(D)
you forgave[c] our transgressions.(E)
4 Blessed are those you choose(F)
and bring near(G) to live in your courts!
We are filled with the good things of your house,(H)
of your holy temple.
5 You answer us with awesome and righteous deeds,(I)
God our Savior,(J)
the hope of all the ends of the earth(K)
and of the farthest seas,(L)
6 who formed the mountains(M) by your power,
having armed yourself with strength,(N)
7 who stilled the roaring of the seas,(O)
the roaring of their waves,
and the turmoil of the nations.(P)
8 The whole earth is filled with awe at your wonders;
where morning dawns, where evening fades,
you call forth songs of joy.(Q)
9 You care for the land and water it;(R)
you enrich it abundantly.(S)
The streams of God are filled with water
to provide the people with grain,(T)
for so you have ordained it.[d]
10 You drench its furrows and level its ridges;
you soften it with showers(U) and bless its crops.
11 You crown the year with your bounty,(V)
and your carts overflow with abundance.(W)
12 The grasslands of the wilderness overflow;(X)
the hills are clothed with gladness.(Y)

Psalm 66
For the director of music. A song. A psalm.
1 Shout for joy to God, all the earth!(AC)
2 Sing the glory of his name;(AD)
make his praise glorious.(AE)
3 Say to God, “How awesome are your deeds!(AF)
So great is your power
that your enemies cringe(AG) before you.
4 All the earth bows down(AH) to you;
they sing praise(AI) to you,
they sing the praises of your name.”[e]
5 Come and see what God has done,
his awesome deeds(AJ) for mankind!
6 He turned the sea into dry land,(AK)
they passed through(AL) the waters on foot—
come, let us rejoice(AM) in him.
7 He rules forever(AN) by his power,
his eyes watch(AO) the nations—
let not the rebellious(AP) rise up against him.
8 Praise(AQ) our God, all peoples,
let the sound of his praise be heard;
9 he has preserved our lives(AR)
and kept our feet from slipping.(AS)
10 For you, God, tested(AT) us;
you refined us like silver.(AU)
11 You brought us into prison(AV)
and laid burdens(AW) on our backs.

we went through fire and water,

13 I will come to your temple with burnt offerings(AZ)
and fulfill my vows(BA) to you—
14 vows my lips promised and my mouth spoke
when I was in trouble.
15 I will sacrifice fat animals to you
and an offering of rams;
I will offer bulls and goats.(BB)
16 Come and hear,(BC) all you who fear God;
let me tell(BD) you what he has done for me.
17 I cried out to him with my mouth;
his praise was on my tongue.
18 If I had cherished sin in my heart,
the Lord would not have listened;(BE)
19 but God has surely listened
and has heard(BF) my prayer.
20 Praise be to God,
who has not rejected(BG) my prayer
or withheld his love from me!

1 May God be gracious to us and bless us
and make his face shine on us—[g](BH)
2 so that your ways may be known on earth,
your salvation(BI) among all nations.(BJ)
3 May the peoples praise you, God;
may all the peoples praise you.(BK)
4 May the nations be glad and sing for joy,(BL)
for you rule the peoples with equity(BM)
and guide the nations of the earth.(BN)

1 May God arise,(BS) may his enemies be scattered;(BT)
may his foes flee(BU) before him.
2 May you blow them away like smoke—(BV)
as wax melts(BW) before the fire,
may the wicked perish(BX) before God.
3 But may the righteous be glad
and rejoice(BY) before God;
may they be happy and joyful.
4 Sing to God, sing in praise of his name,(BZ)
extol him who rides on the clouds[i](CA);
rejoice before him—his name is the Lord.(CB)
5 A father to the fatherless,(CC) a defender of widows,(CD)
is God in his holy dwelling.(CE)
6 God sets the lonely(CF) in families,[j](CG)
he leads out the prisoners(CH) with singing;
but the rebellious live in a sun-scorched land.(CI)
7 When you, God, went out(CJ) before your people,
when you marched through the wilderness,[k](CK)
8 the earth shook,(CL) the heavens poured down rain,(CM)
before God, the One of Sinai,(CN)
before God, the God of Israel.(CO)
9 You gave abundant showers,(CP) O God;
you refreshed your weary inheritance.
10 Your people settled in it,
and from your bounty,(CQ) God, you provided(CR) for the poor.
11 The Lord announces the word,
and the women who proclaim it are a mighty throng:(CS)
12 “Kings and armies flee(CT) in haste;
the women at home divide the plunder.(CU)
13 Even while you sleep among the sheep pens,[l](CV)
the wings of my dove are sheathed with silver,
its feathers with shining gold.”
14 When the Almighty[m] scattered(CW) the kings in the land,
it was like snow fallen on Mount Zalmon.(CX)
15 Mount Bashan,(CY) majestic mountain,(CZ)
Mount Bashan, rugged mountain,
16 why gaze in envy, you rugged mountain,
at the mountain where God chooses(DA) to reign,
where the Lord himself will dwell forever?(DB)
17 The chariots(DC) of God are tens of thousands
and thousands of thousands;(DD)
the Lord has come from Sinai into his sanctuary.[n]
18 When you ascended(DE) on high,(DF)
you took many captives;(DG)
you received gifts from people,(DH)
even from[o] the rebellious(DI)—
that you,[p] Lord God, might dwell there.
19 Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior,(DJ)
who daily bears our burdens.(DK)
20 Our God is a God who saves;(DL)
from the Sovereign Lord comes escape from death.(DM)
21 Surely God will crush the heads(DN) of his enemies,
the hairy crowns of those who go on in their sins.
22 The Lord says, “I will bring them from Bashan;
I will bring them from the depths of the sea,(DO)
23 that your feet may wade in the blood of your foes,(DP)
while the tongues of your dogs(DQ) have their share.”
24 Your procession, God, has come into view,
the procession of my God and King into the sanctuary.(DR)
25 In front are the singers,(DS) after them the musicians;(DT)
with them are the young women playing the timbrels.(DU)
26 Praise God in the great congregation;(DV)
praise the Lord in the assembly of Israel.(DW)
27 There is the little tribe(DX) of Benjamin,(DY) leading them,
there the great throng of Judah’s princes,
and there the princes of Zebulun and of Naphtali.(DZ)
28 Summon your power,(EA) God[q];
show us your strength,(EB) our God, as you have done(EC) before.
29 Because of your temple at Jerusalem
kings will bring you gifts.(ED)
30 Rebuke the beast(EE) among the reeds,(EF)
the herd of bulls(EG) among the calves of the nations.
Humbled, may the beast bring bars of silver.
Scatter the nations(EH) who delight in war.(EI)
31 Envoys will come from Egypt;(EJ)
Cush[r](EK) will submit herself to God.
32 Sing to God, you kingdoms of the earth,(EL)
sing praise(EM) to the Lord,
33 to him who rides(EN) across the highest heavens, the ancient heavens,
who thunders(EO) with mighty voice.(EP)
34 Proclaim the power(EQ) of God,
whose majesty(ER) is over Israel,
whose power is in the heavens.
35 You, God, are awesome(ES) in your sanctuary;(ET)
the God of Israel gives power and strength(EU) to his people.(EV)
